Hi,
I was just coming home from a friday night out. A few hours earlier and without any warning I was confronted by a producer (I knew her) who asked me, which DSLR I was using. Gh1-hacked was my answer. Of course she never heard of it or even hacks at all and started to explain to me the benefits of Canon DSLRs. Because she was talking about green screen stuff I asked her back -really not knowing- if the hacked by Magic Lantern Canons had 422 color subsampling. "Hacked?" she answered. I refused to answer any further but she kept on, telling me that Canons produce the best footage ever seen with the exception of green screen keys for which she books REDs only now.
I know my GH13, with all the benefits (detail/bitrate, flip out lcd, size, lenses, little aliasing...) and all the still remaining faults (No hdmi, audio, low light).
But explaining to Canon-only filmers why I use what I use is SO exhausting, because they don´t listen, they just dismiss everything they can´t add to the pros of their own cams... it´s just like (assumed you have to think budget oriented) trying to explain to an Final Cut Pro guy, why maybe it isn´t so cool to have to work in a closed soft- and hardware universe, where everything costs more because it´s white...or on one monitor only from what I´ve read about the recent update.
/End of rant/
