Ramjet Films presents "Re-Birth"

I like 1,3,5 a lot. I like the emotions being conveyed. Looks like the director got some great performances out of that Jason guy.

What kinda of Color-correcting scheme are you thinking about? Are you shooting it clean so you have more options to tweak it later?

Nice grabs... I thought you said the acting wasn't good... from these screens it sure looks good!
It's amazing that you can make a judgement on acting from a screen shot...

Hey Jason, looking good.

Are these shots in the can? Or test shots?

Your emotion does pour through the lens... even in a screen shot.

Keep it up!

(I opened one of those files... HUGE! But it shows such a crisp focus you have there!)

Thanks guys.
Ted- The shots are raw from the camera. They are actual stills from actual footage. But, if I have time, I really want to re-shoot this scene. I just don't know if time is going to allow it.

Jason

Cool. I understand about the "time" and "re-shooting."

If you got the shot.... MOVE ON! :)

Looking good, Jason.

Congrats.

MMmmm...Snickers  Have you heard about the special edition Reese's Peanut Butter Cups that will be out in July? They will have a layer of banana cream in them in honor of Elvis (I think it's for the 50th anniversary of his death).

Hey B-Dawg...I can be satisfied, this is just my chance to get back at Jason for being such a slave driver during the writing phase

Jason, I read you were missing out on the photoshopped images. Well I was bored... so here you go:

That's great Jeremy.

I guess I will have to move mickey mouse out of the frame if I re-shoot this scene. But I kinda like it for subtle reasons you will hopefuly see when (if) the film is finished.

Thanks,
Jason

UPDATE: Well, I am going to have the house to myself tonight, so I am going to re-shoot the scene that you have seen the BTS grabs from.

Why? Well. I have the time to do it tonight, so I might as well.

What don't I like about the first shoot?
Much of my acting seemed forced. There is nothing I hate more in acting, than seeing someone force emotion to come out of them. It is either fake, or just plain not that dramatic. That is not how most people handle emotion in most cases. They try to keep it from overtaking them. They try not to let it keep them from the words they want to say. At least in this context. Yes there are times when you just have to be a "drama queen", but again, that's not all that dramatic :)

Anyways, so I want to have one more go at it, while I have the opportunity. My palette is kinda clogged right now, and I'm a bit rusty, so it may not be any different. I just want to try to take a more honest approach to the scene, and the emotional line of the scene. I'm focusing in the wrong area. Having to focus on all the technical stuff I know nothing about isn't helping either.

Usually, whenever I see something I acted in, it sucks to me. However, I know the difference when it feels forced, or it feels honest, and as though my choices came from the situation, not my desire to acheive an end result (be it a tear, a laugh or whatever).

Make any sense? Nonsense?

Anyways, I'm just gonna try to run through the scene more honestly, and see if I can reconnect myself to the situation.

Jason
