Ramjet Films presents "Re-Birth"

Well, I'm definitely not going to win any awards for cinematography for this film, but I have a rough cut, minus a few things that need to be filmed still.

Here's a shot of our setup for the kidnapping scene. It was either this, or the wife holding the cam and baby, while I laid the mic wherever I could. Ah, no crew. And, of course I had to step out of the shot to take the pic

AWESOME JASON! WOO-HOO!!!! He's making a movie!

I love it!

My favorite two things....

The Butt-Out Cam Shot!

The fact that you named your HVX "Bob!"

Great stuff!

Does this mean you're hiring out your wife as a boom op? She looks very
capable! Go girlfriend.

We are both available for hire for just about anything :) My wife's forte is cooking  You like spicy food?

Jason

So is your wife not only your boom operator but caterer.?

Congrats on the rough cut:beer:. Jeez... I'm far behind. I just started to capture a couple of takes.

I love the composition and color of this shot. Good attention to detail, but I do notice that there are somewhat muted colors with the actress. Is this to deemphasize her character?

Well, I just watched the rough edit and I am very pleased. Yes, there is still work to be done, but it is already well on its way to being a competitive entry

And, I must also interject here. All Jason's earlier comments about how terrible his acting was, were wrong. He did a fantastic job acting on this!!

Looking forward to the finished film Jason...good luck on the rest of the project.

Hey Jason, I love this shot man. You can tell that woman is dedicated to helping you out! Just look at the expression on her face. She's not a bit upset about anything... :)

Lol. Tommy

Just to let everyone know who is interested. I have the links to the BTS pics that I have posted recently on the first post. BTS pics and frame grabs can be found on pages 29 and 32.

Rich. Yes, those are straight from the camera. Actually those screen shots were filmed with the same scene file all of the other stuff has been shot with, as well. The two differences being shutter speed, and (the one that made the difference) White balance.

Thanks,
Jason

Heh, I love the baby and mom boomer. I use my kids as often as i can too because I can whip them all day and not feed them. ;)

Thanks Aram. Actually all of the Screen grabs are uncorrected, and straight out of the camera. I haven't begun cc'ing or anything yet.

My daughter... what can I say. I think she is going to have me wrapped. She is getting to the point now that we are saying no, and teaching her that she can't do everything or put anything in her mouth. But, then I say no, and she just looks at me and smiles. I can't help but smile back.

Later,
Jason
