WOW realy? will reload it again then, i must be doing something wrong.Can you share your full settings please! so i can get what you are getting .I use mediainfo to rate the mts files

Whatever you need of course. Versione increment is important. Language, 30 min limit etc depend on whether you need them.
 
Haha...the soon to be "Big Day" when Sony will bless us with 28mbps AVCHD 2 is starting to look a bit lame to me...

And don't forget the 1080 30p MJPEG @ 110mbps...it looks absolutely stunning on the hacked GH2!

i use a transcend class 10 card and you can only go until 2 'more detail' in auto quantizer.I tried 4 and it frozed!:undecided:undecided:undecided
 
Like I said YMMV. Test, test, test. I also get freezes but it is intermittent. Think Once it starts rolling though it is fine. Just getting past the first 2 seconds that's the issue. Once we can track down the culprit then we are rolling. Maybe an idea to start at 66 mbps and work upwords for stability
 
Hello Henry, are you going to be posting some footage at 115mbs or close to that? Im sure all of us on this board would appreciate anything you can post. I for one would love to see some type of action footage mixed in with some cinematic type footage to give us a look at what the film production possibility might be. Id like to see how it handles running with a stedicam type harness.
If anyone else can do this that would be great, dont want to put all the pressure on Henry :) LOL
Lets get creative!!, no more flower pots and people standing still. :)
 
Ooh brother - got caught up in mixing an album today so forgot about the video. Let me run outside quickly and see what I can get.
 
just ordered a silicon power class 10 after seeing what the new ptools is capable of. still dieing to see some footage, but so far it looks like sonys big announcement got less important.
 

Sorry that you have to see my unattractive mug and this is anything but cinematic. But it should give an idea of how good the footage is. I suggest you download the file on Vimeo.

I see what you mean; I just checked the video and see it there too (at an angle to my monitor).
What seems to have improved is the gh2 no longer shows its unique, unpleasant banding. Now it is normal 8 bit. I wonder if AQ4 goes even further?
 
Well it's not the greatest video. I am going to the Isle of Wight for the weekend so I will get some really nice footage while there I hope. Will try to tell a story as well and edit it when I get back Tuesday. Best wishes.

By the way - the 110 mbps hack I have discovered is anything but stable with frequent lockups. So if your footage is mission critical - this is not for you. But if you want the absolute best - this is extraordinary

Well it definitely would be an asset to the GH2 community to report all bugs and suggestions after comprehensive testing of footage, back to Vitally so he can do his best to fix the issues. :)
