Henry, what setting is this? 442 megs for a 30 second clip?? We too are messing with 110000000 AVCHD but are not getting rates nearly this high (though we are getting these kinds of rates with 600 500 400 300 mjpeg).

Just tried out the 110000000 hack and with my current workflow it's useless. Every time I try to bring the clip into FCP via Log and Transfer it crashes. Any Mac users have suggestions?
Well it's not the greatest video. I am going to the Isle of Wight for the weekend so I will get some really nice footage while there I hope. Will try to tell a story as well and edit it when I get back Tuesday. Best wishes.
By the way - the 110 mbps hack I have discovered is anything but stable with frequent lockups. So if your footage is mission critical - this is not for you. But if you want the absolute best - this is extraordinary
i tried the 110mbps outdoors, it was ok but when you get the image via FCP log and transfer, the entire clip crackles like that of a million marbles, so no good with with my transcend class 10. though indoors was ok, so decided to go back to kaes 65mbps for stability and check auto quantizer to 3 more detail to get an average of 45mbps.Though I must admit getting 105mbps thru 110mps realy was great though while it lasted.
fcp's log and transfer doesn't work with the 100+mbps stuff as far as i can tell. Transcode the clip using 5dtorgb (free/slow) or buy clipwrap ($50/fast).
Hey clipwrap users, for the 100+mbps footage are you simply re-wrapping it or are you transcoding for fcp?
One quick thing I noticed already... the first 10 frame rubbish has been eliminated!
i am using 85mps and its holding GOP3, AQ at 4 and buffer 24 at 0x3600...tested in the bushes and interiors looking good and stable...for me anyway, and getting average of 82mbps.
