I'm in the market for a 4K camera, and the $4,000 price drop still doesn't feel like enough. Just my personal opinion, but if the C300 II was $8K it'd still be a tough decision-- because I've spent enough time with both 60P and 30P limits, and 60P has so many benefits beyond the ability to do slo-mo (like more accurate stabilization in post, etc.).
But the ace the FS7 has- again, for me- is it's flange distance. The ability to use a speedbooster, and thus a lens like the Sigma 24-105 at it's FF FOV, with an equivalent f/2.8 aperture, is huge. Or being able to use a $5K cinema lens at both 35mm and 24mm, for instance, is a big benefit in my eyes. If the F5 was adaptable with a speedbooster I'd already own that camera.
Im not trying to hate on Canon at all. I've owned lots of Canon cameras, and there are features the C300 II has that other don't, but do y'all see the C300 II as a lot more attractive at $12K? Just curious.
