That was awesome!! Talent from beyond.. I will read the whole tread then come back for some education...

What camera did you use?

Finally got around to watching this - darkline, you scared the bejeezus out of me. This film is a perfect example of why I so rarely watch horrors. For me, this is definitely tops this fest. If you don't take first, I'll eat AJ's socks.

Yay! Good to hear. I was away this weekend visiting my folks and just got back so sorry for not replying to these sooner. I showed them the short too and it made my mum jump which is always fun to see. (tho not as fun as her ski-ing on the wii)

"Game over man, game over!"!

One vote for PaxtonFest from me. Every film must have one of his lines of dialogue in. I'd totally enter that

F*** ME!

Possibly the best amateur short ive ever seen!

Hey, who you calling an amateur! ;-)

To save you scouting it was a 550D. Aliasing ahoy. but it did the job.

Congratulations on making it to the finals. Since I did a few VFX shots on Phantom I was slightly biased, but even still felt Negative Image was the strongest film in the fest. Kudos.

I'd LOVE to see that train shot on Phantom. Sounds quite ambitious.

Great short film! Loved it. Let me know if you ever post this on vimeo.

It'll go on my website soon but I'm going to try and hit the horror fests with the 10 min version next year first. Thanks for the props!

One of my favourites, really enjoyed it.

;-)

this one felt the most polished and was the clear winner on a technical level. the story was a bit generic, but told in an innovative way with the truth in photography theme. would maybe have liked to know a bit more about the main character, but still very well done.

Thanks very much for the love! It's truly appreciated and I'm happy not just for me, but for Pete and John, without them this would have NEVER have ben made. I owe everything to them. To place would have been great, so this is amazing. I really would like to thank everyone for being so nice to me here over the years. I only pop on here every now and again when I get off my ass and make something, but the community its always welcoming and supportive.

I really would like to take part in more of them, you guys are great and I wish I knew a lot of you in person. I dont have many film-making buddies here.

So inspiring! Thanks for sharing what camera too! Not the best camera (I own one)....but good enough for sure. (Good enough to win, huh?) EXCELLENT!

Congratulations on first place Darkline. Look forward to seeing more of your work in the future!
