More leaders?

Glad to have you in Mark. I haven't seen you in a couple years, since the old dvxfest days. I think we've crossed paths indirectly before in that I've worked with the same people that you have but we've never crossed paths directly. So it's cool to finally bump into you.

Yeah, cheers man.

Oh wow! What a Friday treat!

I have spent the last two days embroiled in a graphics job from hell for the England World Cup bid (fat lot of good that did) and this has blown away all that frustration and tiredness. I've been involved in some winning projects on this site before, but only in the capacity of helping a friend fulfil their vision. This is my first stab at doing something by myself and it has been a blast.

Big props to all the other competitors, without whom we wouldn't have had a competition, to Landmine for their gracious prize donation and, of course, to Gord T for organising the whole thing. Finally, thanks to everyone who voted and I look forward to planning a sequel for the next competition. I've definitely got the bug, now. Must catch up on some sleep first, though...

Cheers everyone!

Yeah, you've got to like Fridays.

Someone should be in touch with you guys soon about getting the prizes to everyone.

I'll also have to give you guys a shout later so you can upload a higher res version for the archives. Probably in the next week or so.

And Tom, shoot me your paypal and I'll buy you a couple beers as promised. If you don't, I'll buy myself a couple.

Oh, if anyone would like to know how they placed in the results, shoot me a PM.

And I'm going to treat myself to a book called 'Of Walking In Ice' by Werner Herzog.

$25 on Amazon US but over $50 on Amazon UK! And the director is European!!

It's a scam, but I'm looking forward to reading it all the same.

I made up some video thumbnails from all of the current leaders. We're up to 20 now.
If anyone is looking for a quick overview of what's currently available, this might do it, maybe?

Great idea, Gord. Cool presentation too. I think they would make it tons easier for a fest entrant to see what's available.

Will do Mark. Things are getting shuffled around a bit including some new features for future viewing/voting and things overall should go much smoother.
If you can hang onto those hi def's for a bit we'll get them up as soon as things get sorted.
Thanks for your patience.

-Gord.
