"Lesson in Life and Death" - A Day 7 Studios production

Sweet man, Im looking forward to it :) I should have thought of asking for donations. :) Great Thinking... ahh debt is ok I guess. :)

No worry ...I received 50% of my funding so far, plus a very generous donation of wardrobe and props. So this production is definitely on. I am finalizing the script now and will start posting in here fairly regular.

I also created a facebook page which I'll be keeping updated too.

Glad you are looking forward to it, hopefully others are as well and hopefully it will be a quality product when its finished. I'm really excited about this one.

Cast and crew all accounted for (and detailed in the initial post). Now to get this script wrapped up and start scheduling.

We have a great line up of both cast and crew. This should prove to be my biggest and most fun project yet.

Got slowed up a bit by an unexpected summer cold that knocked me flat. But I'm past that now and making some great progress.

Thanks for checking in :)

So does this mean you won't be playing Words with Friends for a while? HAHA maybe I should spam you with game invites so you'll be distracted :P

Good Luck Larry!

I thought you might like seeing the script for this film ... here it is:

Code:
FADE IN:

INT. GENERAL STORE - DAY
REX (30s) dressed in a fine suit sits at a small table in the back of
the store. On the floor next to him sits a black valise and on the
table are several stacks of papers.

EXT. GENERAL STORE - DAY
A horse comes to a stop at the rail outside the store. Boots drop
to the ground next to the horse, and the man inside them JOHNNY (late 20s)
knocks the dust from his pants.

INT. GENERAL STORE - DAY
The door opens and Johnny saunters inside.

                             JOHNNY
                    Mornin' pops. He here?

POPS (60s) looks up from behind the counter.

                              POPS
                    At the table in back.

Johnny pulls his hat off and nods his head toward Pops. He turns and
strides to the table in back.

INT. GENERAL STORE - BACK TABLE - CONTINUOUS
Rex looks up as Johnny approaches.

                               REX
Morning son. What can I do
                  for you?

Johnny sits down across the table from Rex, he lays his
six-gun on the table in front of him.

                             JOHNNY
I need me some o' yore
                    insurance.

Rex smiles, pulls a pen from his inner breast pocket and straightens
the papers in front of him.

                               REX
                  Excellent, just a couple questions.

Rex glides the pen across the page as he reads.

                               REX
                              (CONT'D)
                  Ever had an accident?

                             JOHNNY
                    Nope, nary a one.

Rex looks up, a little surprised.

                             REX
                    None? You've never had any
                    accidents?

                             JOHNNY
Nope. Ain't never had one. Never

                             REX
                    That's awfully hard to
                    believe. No accidents at all?

Johnny lays his hand on the pistol and looks Rex directly in the eye.

                             JOHNNY
                    You calling me a liar?

Rex grows visibly agitated, looks toward Pops.

                             REX
N-No, of course not. Just seems
                    surprising that someone lives
as long as you and never has
                    anything happen.

Johnny sits back in his seat. He pulls his hat off and scratches his
forehead.

                             JOHNNY
Well, a rattler bit me once.

                             REX
                    Wouldn't you consider that an
                    accident?

                             JOHNNY
Nope! The varmint bit me on
                    purpose.

                                                             FADE OUT:
