Iscorama Anamophic Lens Test

Why ? try to take apart those lenses for 35mm projection and move front glass closer to rear glass to enable close focus.

why does this lens produce round distortion on the edges of the video? just curious, im not super educated on lens, im learning as I go but I know basic knowledge

anybody tried isco with 35mm lens on 7d ? It should cover whole sensor without vignetting because it covers full frame 50mm on 5d ,on 7d it would be like 44mm.

We now sell Anamorphic lens clamps that will convert most anamorphic lenses that have a stubborn non-standard filter thread to 52mm threads and correctly align and hold almost any lens lens so that you can mount it to a wide variety of taking lenses.
I've been able to mount my Isco 36 and Kowa 35 to a 80mm-200mm Canon L series lens with 72mm threads.

Available at www.vid-atlantic.com/anamorphic

And see it in action here in this video http://vimeo.com/12863933

jongo that looks very nice, would like to see some vids with this setup. But maybe with sigma 30mm 1.4.
I guess you dont need diopters with isco cause you can easily disassemble it a bit to focus closer

Doesn't seem like you can disassemble the 54 too easily -- no exposed screws to tweak. My Isco II 1.33x actually looks more promising on that front. May have a go at it later when the Maitakan puts out a video on how he modified his 42.

I got this mod from him. All it is is a simple removal or loosening of 1 screw, the only exposed screw (the very very tiny one) on the focus part of the lens. Only took a second to do and allows the lens to focus past the original 6ft down to 3ft, where it stops (which is a good thing so it wont unscrew all the way and fall out). Seems like it was meant to be :)
