Is it just me, or is Thrillfest pretty quiet?

Seems like not a lot going on apart from a few people entering commenting on other entries... :(

Are the fests normally like this?

I think it feels very similar to last fest. Last fest was a bit of a ghost town if you'll excuse the pun. Not a tonne of entries either.

Plenty of people jumped in early this fest but then it settled right down again.

I agree. Been much slower than the last fest I was in (QuestFest).

Seems odd. I kinda understood that not everyone could produce a Western, but Thrillers should be right up this crowd's alley.

Might be a good time to bring in some new blood. I'm going to post an invitation on Facebook for filmmakers to come in and enter the fest. Would be great if we all took a few seconds to do the same.

Normally the fall fest is the most lively, it's odd; but then again the theme is usually more overtly halloween based which might attract more punters.

we need a fat monster thread to whip the crowd into a frenzy.

Shot a few scenes and traveled to turkey, but I became sick here for a while and then one of my main actors caught a cold as well. So I sadly have to drop out. :(

The fest is definitely missing some heavy hitters. Fat monster was an enormous boost to the fests.

I certainly expected more entries as the concept seems to be so wide open.

I think discouraging straight-up horror entries has dampened the enthusiasm from many would-be entrants. It is that time of year after all.

Maybe extend til the 30th and explicitly invite horror entrants.

I don't start shooting till next week, I haven't been saying much cause I'm new and I really don't want to be THAT guy always posting on his own thread
