the S1H is the cheapest Netflix approved camera. Once you add an EVF, monitor etc. to the BGH1 it will be more expensive.

Not sure it is designed for that way of operating. The value is control over Ethernet remotely in a multicam environment. Or purely remote operation. If you are going to add a monitor etc to hand hold getting a GH5S would be a better deal I think. Also I have GH5 and GH5S and still use Ninja V with both.
...it can also shoot 4K in 10-bit 4:2:2 video internally
No, the BGH1 isn't designed for every type of shoot -- but after two days of setup and testing we're extremely happy with our choice!
I feel like DLD is the only one on this forum who gets excited about 8K
So you’re seeing … [performs complex arithmetic] … about 4K’s worth of pixels?I can see the pixels from about 3 feet, my seating position is 6 ft.
Am still a bit befuddled about the output options in 4K - else fine little box.
Need to work on remote triggering options next. (Lumix Multicam Tether app looks promising over ethernet - but we didn't want to take chances with it on our first real go-round)
Are you shooting 8K weddings, Tom? I don't even shoot all my work in 4K, a lot is still HD. And what goes online (which is most of what I do) is probably viewed in 720p.
Would I like to watch Dunkirk in 8K? Sure. But it doesn't seem to matter for my business. 8K for extra cropping? Largely unnecessary and I will pass on the extra data and processing requirements. For now.
