GH5 How interested are you in a GH6 anymore?

Yes that is what I expected but mine does not do that. Only focuses when either AF soft button or real button is pressed. Just touching the screen just moves the box. Works as expected on my GH5 and GH5S so I expected it to work the same way on the GH6. Will someone with a GH6 check ?

Same problem. I may ask about this on Lumix Live on Thursday afternoons 2PM Eastern. Note the next couple of weeks they are likely not going to be answering questions, so may be a few weeks before we can get any guidance.
 
Did you update the firmware to 1.1 ? I found out with testing everything that half press shutter does not focus either. I expect it was the firmware update that has created the problem.

Yes 1.1 Will do 1.2 later today or tomorrow. There is a menu control for half press (forget where; so many menu choices :undecided) - perhaps that is set to not focus? Half press allows me to focus in my current config, BTW.

It was always cameras for me and nothing else (as far as this industry). I of course needed some of the other stuff but it was mandatory and purchases were almost never driven by a salivating desire.

I can confidently say 97% of my 70+ cameras purchases were all syndrome-related.

Hey now lol... I just enjoy changing up my gear.. i've been doing that since 2006 when i let go of my DVX for an XL2.. it was an ever growing spiral every sense lol.

I have an ARRI Alexa for you, Mike...you've tried everything else and now it's time to try the best there is.

You're a dynamic range guy...you'll be blown out & away...:happy:

I had an alexa last year and had to sell it due to financial hardship. Im doing much better now so i pm'd you.
