OK, I now have a WE1B and WE1C in front of me. How would I set up the two to test for the banding? I also have a 20mm 1.7, the 14-140 and the 14-42 if that helps at all.

Very first batch of GH2s ever built? Maybe it's pre-productioncheck the HDMI output and see it it's true 24p...
Interesting. What do you mean by pre-production model and true 24P HDMI output? Mine is WE0K bought in Dec 2010, PAL version. When shot on 24P setting with HDMI attached to monitor, the monitor always display 1080i 50hz.
