Hmmm, I wonder ?

Hollywood-grade, but no hollywood frame rates? Where is 24p or even the industry standard 23.976? Odd.

I have to assume that's just denoting the max framerate in each codec/resolution, not all the framerates.
It's highly unlikely GH5 will record Raw to SSD's.
There's a considerable variety of mobile and embedded memory tech that could support a compressed Raw in a $2,000 camera. I think it's all going to the UFS 2.0 platform for the lower end and for straight SSD's (such as X-point) on the pro size cameras. Some of the higher end external recorders and pro cameras can also contain multiple drives suitable for recording an uncompressed Raw. The top tier mobile phones cost $200-$250 to manufacture and already have the latest memory modules. The Chinese made drones feature essentially all off-the-shelf camera components - Sony's MFT sensor with an MFT mount that can take Olympus and Panasonic lenses, etc. It'd be interesting if someone can hack that DJI drone-camera combo and make it into a stand-alone 4K Raw camera. Currently, as I read the posters comments, the SSD is inside the drone body.I agree. But how freakin' awesome would it be if the GH5 also had an M.2 slot for 4K CinemaDNG recording? The form factor certainly wouldn't be the barrier to that design, as it would with 2.5" SSDs.

a GH5 "Cine" grip that recorded RAW to standard M.2 SSD drives would be killer.
The sensor should shoot for more stops...around 14 or 15.
As cameras get higher and higher frame rates, the difference between the frames will be tiny anyway, so blending will be even easier (although, it probably better done in post).

The GH4 is so rough and grizzled on the outside. Feels like my wife after she shaves.
Ah, thanks. I wasn't sure how the Red is doing it but it makes a lot of sense (now that I have been explained it). With RED's HDRx system the second "highlight" exposure is shorter relative to the dynamic range increase. So if you are shooting 24fps at 1/48 second for the "normal" exposure, and you want to increase the dynamic range by 4 F-stops, then the second "highlight" exposure is 1/48 x 1/16 = 1/768 second. The difference between images would be minimal, but the second exposure might be a lot sharper. ( I've heard of people softening the second exposure in post to get it to match the first exposure better, before they are blended to create the HDR image )
The current era HDR TV's and monitors will top out at 12 stops and even that is probably too jarring to people's eyes. basically, in terms of both resolution and the dynamic range, the human eye limit has been reached (with the exception of some commercial applications). And, for scripted narratives, 24p seems to be much preferred over 48p or above.I'd rather it was done properly, with a better sensor.
