I'd rather it was done properly, with a better sensor.

That's how the ARRI Alexa does it by making two exposures simultaneously from the same sensor and then blending the two exposures together to create the final image.

But then there is the price-tag for this kind of technology, which puts it a little above the price of the GH5. rogar-BigGrin(DBG)

Doesn't C300 MKII have a dual-analog readout?

I don't know, but the sensors from Fairchild, which are used by Blackmagic, have dual-gain read-out.
