Can the GH2 do 25p? I was under the assumption that it cant do 25p which is critical in PAL countries. But when I was looking through the specs at B&H Photo it states " Now the DMC-GH2 can record high-resolution full-HD 1,920 x 1,080 movies in astonishing smooth 60i (NTSC) / 50i (PAL), doubling the sensor output from 24p / 25p to 60p / 50p." Thanks.

Can anyone please try-out and confirm the following article by Jorgen Escher:

To cut a long story short: dial from 160 to 320 asa -> noise, from 400 -> 320 asa -> same asa but less noise.
This issue is driving me crazy at the moment - have to remember in which sequence i have to dial-in my ASA setting.

I've have hands-on experience with a few other GH2s that also have this issue. The amount of noise (with my camera) is substantially higher if switching asa up instead of down. Crazy!

I can't find any info here about tip I've got from one guy from the other forum
GH2 have live out through usb/composite cable. Just hold trash can button for a 5sec and live out will activate, but unfortunately it stops when record start.

This apply to the GH1, the GH2 has live HDMI monitoring.
 
I just shot "showcase video" for a local singer at a local club. I had my shotgun mic aimed at the speakers and connected to the GH2 input....however, some of the audio did not record! I left the camera stationary [ w/ my awesome 20mm lens] and watched the levels for each set as it was recording and the levels were always present. But to my surprise, after downloading it and watching it..some of the audio just stops and did not get recorded...could it be the SDHC card [ transend 32G class 10]?...BTW, the video was awesome just using my old 20w canon lite.

I am a student in South Korea currently studying an MFA in film directing. I am planning to buy a new camera and I have basically decided on the Panasonic GH2 over the Canon 5D Mk2/7D. Largely due to the price. As I am still a student and don't have a lot of money it's cheaper for me to buy a Japanese GH2. The problem I can't read Japanese. I know that there is a Japanese to English patch available for the GH2. Can anyone point me in the right direction to download it? Thanks
 
Since when is the GH2 available? September or November? I don´t think there will be a release of the GH3 in the next few month.
 
So im about to buy my gh2, is it safe to buy off ebay if they are coming from taiwan? i heard something about grey market cameras or anything. Should i be worried to buy this?
