The AC consists of two units I purchased from two different Ebay stores. Both stores are run by the same person.

1st part:
Panasonic DC coupler DMW-DCC8, (Seller: ace_of_bicycle2004)

2nd part:
(exact title) Panasonic Lumix AC adaptor DMW-AC8 for DMC-FZ100, (Seller: japan-world-store).

Sale date for the ebay items was Jan. 19th and I received them Jan. 28th. I was surprised.




Again all items mentioned I've tested and they work great.

I also tested out a C-mount adapter from, seller: rainbowimaging, that was $17 cad. It didn't work at first and after examination I discovered that the pin on the camera front was not being aloud to extend. I took my handy dandy Dremel and shaved out a tiny bit until it worked.


In the coming weeks I'll let you know how the items listed below purchased from Ebay turn out:
EOS adapter, Timer Remote, Wireless Remote.

If anyone is interested I have been able to shoot with my GH2 and 14-140 for about 7-8 hours straight on a single external battery I mocked up.
I bought the coupler made my own connection to the battery - bought from ebay 9volts seems to work fine - and viola - all day shooting on one battery.

You do have to put up with having the cable pretuding from the camera and of course you have to lug the battery around (small backpack does it for me - or velcro onto your rig)

Im not sure what long term affect this will have on the camera as the coupler has 8.4 volts on it but from searching the net that little extra voltage shouldnt do
any harm. Anyway it feels good to not have to worry about running out of power...
 
That's what I plan to do at some stage too, using RC batteries. A liitle extra power will be fine, the AC adaptor isn't regulated and batteries usually supply a liitle less voltage when current starts drawing. What us the mAh or Ah rating of the battery you used?

He must have meant the GH1 - The GH2 was not available last summer and to the best of my knowledge there is no "hack" for the GH2.
I think many people are tagging their videos on Vimeo with "GH2" so people will look at them.
 
80FOURENT must be pulling your leg, you don't need to register your warranty for firmware updates

Are you sure you keep getting kicked off the server before you finish the download of that file? it's really small only 497KB. Oh before you update I remember one of our members saying they like ver 1.3 better for the 14-140mm lens, I'm not exactly too sure why though.
 
hi all

anybody can help me i have problem my gh2 can't output HDMI and RCA out for live monitoring ,but can output only for playback mode :(( how to solve the problem pleasee
 
make sure your HDMI menu selection is on AUTO, I don't think you can output from the RCA for and while shooting, only during playback. Unless someone knows a work-a-round which would be great!
 
For those of you who are looking for some battery solutions for the GH2. Here's a Phil Hover vimeo clip that shows how to use a remote control car battery with the Panasonic DCC8 coupler. anybody can help me what is the best recording mode if i want output for PAL 25fps i use FCp 25fps time line.

Recording modes

AVCHD
24H - 1920x1080 24p 24Mbps; 24L - 1920x1080 24p 17Mbps
FSH - 1920x1080 60i 17Mbps (sensor output is 60p) FH - 1920x1080 60i 13Mbps (sensor output is 60p)
SH - 1280x720 60p 17Mbps H - 1280x720 60p 13Mbps

and what recording mode if i want slow motion .

Today I released databases for both GH1 firmware versions, so interested developers are welcome and could contact me for keys :-)

Also, it is a great tragedy whenever a thread is closed. My civil comment of thanks to Steve was never able to reach him because the discussion was already killed.
Negativity and gutter talk should be dealt with in accordance with a forum's policies, however -
A thread - unless it is completely and absolutely without any redeeming qualities - should never be closed. Everyone loses at that point. (this is a reflection on the internet, not this forum alone)

Wondering the same thing. In particular, when will we know if 1080p60 is possible or not? The new TM900 has a bitrate of 28 mbit/sec. It must be possible to get this kind of output on the GH2, as it already has a standard 24 mbit/sec mode.

Vitaly, can you give a very rough guess for a percentage estimate that the GH2 will support 1080p60? Or at least 1080p30 (which would be supported in AVCHD)?
