How did you hack the Japanese to English menu?

Not hackable as far as I know, I've been using an English manual with limited success.

Most menu's are easy to grasp but the manual is a mess!

I use GH2 on my oktokopter. Keep it wide open, large aperture and manual focus since most of the helikopter videos are done outside on the good light.

I absolutely must have one of these copters as my next toy.

I have a question regarding shooting in 24P Cinema mode. It seems like the viewfinger/LCD lag a bit when shooting in this mode. If I change it to 720p or 1080i then the action is smooth and seems like theres no lag, or has a slightly more videoish feel to it. The playback is normal for all the footage shot, its just the viewfinder. Is it just due to the amount of processing to shoot 1080p 24p?

RC helicopter can fly in some wind but stability suffer and video can't be smooth and stable.

it seems gh2 have one of the best 1080p on the market, any visual comparison available (after beeing transcoded by vimeo or youtube such as this one : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r6bzQfZ8OCQ) gh2 vs g3 video mode ? it should be almost equal, unless panasonic voluntarily crippled it down to avoid eating the sales of the gh2 who is the video king of the family ($300 extra dollar for 24p in camera capability, a 20% bigger battery and a mic plug is a bit pricy no ?)

Seriously though, it looks like you easily had the budget to rent an AF100 for this shoot. Why did you go with the GH2? I am personally considering selling my AF100's and investing in GH2's with better lights+lenses+dolly gear, and every now and then I see a really high-end GH2 shoot like this (which looks awesome by the way) that makes me think it's a good way to go.

Can you please tell us your feelings on using a GH2 vs AF100?

Use the 80% overcrack and then configure to 30p with Cinema Tools or the like. Worked well for our last project, including lots of long interviews (must use sync sound as no audio is recorded in this mode).
