No. Only if you have a G2, GF2, or a G3. They can.
But not the GH2. "Funny" isn't is?
The top camera can not do it.
 
sory if already asnwered but there is 308pages and searching does not work... i own ATOMOS NINJA and i am very dissapointed that it outputs 4:3 cripled signal of 5dmII so i am interested in GH2 before buy.
1) full clean 1920x1080? (need to push record on camera as well?)
2) is the output still wrapped 60i so i need to do the posprocess trick in 24p and 25p case?
3) is the hdmi out 8bit / 10bit (i read mostly 8bit) 4:2:2 or 4:2:0 (i read both opinions)

4) does anybody use nikon AIS reduction and old AIS lense? (works everything well like infinity?)
5) does anybody use CHIPPED canon EF reduction and classic 24-70L lense 70-200L? works everything well?

answer myself after first week of happy owner of gh2
1) clean!
2) cripled = wrapped :( but thanks to community solutable throu postprocess avisynth script
3) i would say 8bit, but there are doubts and hopes :) ... probably because of 8bit with better color, sharpness reproduction & codec performance than gh1 4:2:2 mjpeg
4) those chinese ebay adaptors works okay
5) probably does not exist
 
The New GOP1 hack from driftwood is incredible.

Recently did a f3 w/nanoflash @140mb I frame shoot. Can't say I can tell the difference between footage from the new gh2 hack and that. I'm in heaven. First of a slew of tests I'm sure, but really demonstrates the low light potential and great tonality, espy with skintones.

I just bought a GH2 as a student filmmaker, replacing both my Canon EOS Rebel XS and Canon GL1. I have a question, though: I have older Nikon AI lenses: a 28mm, 50mm, and a 105mm. I bought a lens adapter sold by Fotodiox to use them. I know that a MFT body removes the mirror and only has the sensor, creating a shorter distance from the focal plane to the lens. I've read things that this alters the focal length on lenses, but I don't quite get it and want to fully understand what to expect once I receive the camera and its adapter. Being that the Fotodiox Nikon F mount to MFT mount is quite long and stretches away from the body and its sensor, will this simulate the space where the mirror would usually be on a normal camera, like a Canon or Nikon? Will my 50mm lens actually look like it's 50mm or will it still be altered? Does anybody have any sample shots to compare the same lens on an MFT body with an adapter and a normal DSLR, such as a Canon or Nikon?

Pilpop your videos are awesome, best DSLR videos I've ever seen. Great editing, did you do the editing yourself?

Your focal length will NEVER change, the only thing that changes is your angle of view. Many of us are using Nikon-MFT adapters and the change of AOV has been discussed in here hundreds of times. Do a search on "angle of view" and "cinema crop factor" etc

Seriously though, it looks like you easily had the budget to rent an AF100 for this shoot. Why did you go with the GH2? I am personally considering selling my AF100's and investing in GH2's with better lights+lenses+dolly gear, and every now and then I see a really high-end GH2 shoot like this (which looks awesome by the way) that makes me think it's a good way to go.

Can you please tell us your feelings on using a GH2 vs AF100?

I can. I first bought two GH2s, then I bought the AF100 and quickly concluded the GH2 has better image quality so I sold my AF100 again and happily continued shooting with the two GH2s. The only advantage I saw in the AF100 was the overcrank option, I did some nice slow motion shots that I can't do with the GH2 but who knows what the GH3 might bring.
 
Can we take a photo while i shoot movie, in creative mode (or C1,C2,C3)?
I can while shoot movie in auto mode, but not in those manual modes...
