Isn't that strange that nobody has tested HDMI seriously yet, like recording the output and uploading some samples, checking what format (framerate, resolution, interlaced or not, color depth,..) you get precisely, given all the GH2 already in hands of several users? Nobody is able to tell if you can obtains 1080@24p (or better) from HDMI.. (while however, if I've followed correctly, one point for sure is that you can get icon free (clean) output.)
thanks.. if you have some tip on further improving the color and film look feel free...
it's a bit wobbly isn't it? there's no real improvement in that section.. have to be very stable... it's a shame cause i could hand-hold it for run n' gun "not to worry about shakes too much" stuff...i guess wider FOV could help a bit..
Hey Roei,
Nothing to suggest other than possibly shooting in:
standard film mode
-2 contrast
0 color
-2 Detail
-2 NR
Other than that, your sharing footage is already awesome..

Exactly - take a look at this screenshot:

dark 3200 ISO footage:

not sure it's the hardest moire test...

*btw, the building 3200 footage has significant specific place for a vertical *something* (don't know what you guys call it) across the lower part of the screen... not on all the rest of the 3200 shots though.. sometimes it's definitely there![]()
Roei,
What was this interior footage ISO shot at?
that's what i tested yesterday in my room:
http://www.mediafire.com/?87falcypd7s77br
the Japanese menu was tough to crack but i'm almost sure it was: native 24p, ISO200, 1/60 canon fd 28mm 2.8
edited cinema settings all -2 except that noise reduction i left on 0
does it look as bad as i think? am i doing something wrong?
Viewed it in Splash - lots of weird light flickering. Windows Media Player was *much* better, possibly best of all in WMC 64 bit (but only slightly better than Win media)
Seems a very low bitrate? around 8 - 9 Mbps, according to Splash)
it works great (unless there's a "best" player for mts)there had been some issues on VLC playing raw mts. at least you should have its latest version.
hunter can you please tell me where you ordered the japan model. think I will order tomorrow.
