Just got this email from Cinemek:

Hello Kyle,

Thank you for your email!
To answer your questions, we have some new footage we are working on now.
We are going to start to send the G35 on June 20th and we expect to ship full time at the end of July. It usually takes 3 weeks from purchase to ship it.

You can buy it through us - we accept Visa, Mastercard and Discover - or you can buy it through PAYPAL.

Please make sure you are on the mailing list and let me know if you have any other questions!
Sincerely,
Stephanie

Awesome!

i think longer than that, but all good things come to those that wait...

Wasn't there a preorder list as well, or people on a waiting list? I should probably just search up the info. Were you part of that list or have you just been keeping your eyes peeled waiting for it to become available?

losing "only" 1.4 stops of light doesn't sound very attractive anymore, that's me though, I don't know about all of you...

Just been keeping my eyes peeled. 1.4 may be unappealing but it'll still be fascinating to see how well this adapter performs, and how it will affect the adapter market. Is there room for one more major player in the adapter market...time will tell...

I'm intrigued by this just because of how long it's gone on. I did some searching and found this post from June 14th 2006
Well, I got an e-mail from the man J.Houser himself. He said they should be shipping the first 50 units in July.........

Sounds familiar. I guess only time will tell if it happens and if the wait was worth it! :)

I'm intrigued by it because it's static. No moving parts, no batteries, no noise, no freezing grain, freedom to use any shutter speed. Not happy with the upside-down part though.

Maybe I should rephrase my comments to be more clear.

"I'm intrigued by this thread that is the most recent claim in a long line of claims over many many years that the G35 will finally be released just because of how long it's gone on. "

Here is the link to the site if anyone needs it.

I dont know, this adapter looks pretty amazing. I can't imagine it being more expensive then the other guys either, if it's a fair amount cheaper, it is going to be what I go with. The test footage from 06 looks stunning and it was with a dvx100b. Simple AMAZING.

Is the 1.4 stop loss with or without a lens? With a lens, that's exceptable, somewhat.

Does MacGregor have a last name or just another international man of mystery? I've never bought anything from someone with just one name.

The Tim (Just Tim), Timothy (in formal circles), Timmo (yeah that sounds better)

I don't trust their release dates. Seems like every couple months we get these emails. I'll believe it when I see it. What I don't understand is why instead of posting these impending release emails they instead announce when units have actually shipped.

Yeah I'm a skeptic. I just feel like I've been down this road before. :)

The G35 reminds of Duke Nukem Forever, anyone who knows anything about video games knows what I'm talking about....

dont forget Timobile. :)

Any news on this?

Looking at their web page, it looks like this may have solved some of the problems I have with the other adapters:

" the most durable adapter on the market considering its lack of moving parts. It is completely sealed and air tight."

"The G35's camera mount attaches via your camera lens hood bayonet mount simultaneously protecting your focus ring from mistaken bumps and providing an access port at the bottom for focusing."

This sounds appealing.

However if it loses 1.4 stops, not so appealing anymore.

sounds like a good mate for the hpx and the HMC with the FLIP options built in to the cameras, oh, plus the ex3 for that matter.
