true. I grew up having to endure my mum playing abba constantly.....I think it's what led me to making disco music.

what you don't like swedish girls?

That's actually the second time I mucked it up in the last week. But when I seen the price flashed on the screen by an American (John Caballero) I quickly assumed those are American dollars advertised. Silly me. But yeah...

Welcome to the boards. But you aren't the first to preach that and you won't be the last. We're all geeks here, and the geeks are what made RED come into fruition. We are a necessary evil.
Kholi,

I liked the Androwski approach. The guys must listen posts such as this one. Same for your reply.

E. :-)

Yes, Bergman's example. He was mistreated by his own tax authorities till the day they could figure out the amount of revenue ($) during his exile in Munich.

<PS> Once in the middle of a portuguese summer in Algarve, a swedish citizen in vacations said to me, the Volvos yes, Bergman is just a porn director. Go figure! And with a lot of swedish blondies going around allover the place.

Video was pulled off. But what's up with that price? I thought it was under or around $1,500.00?

The video is still there. If you are having trouble go to You Tube and search for lumix gh1. There are a couple of others also from Japan. The rep clearly and in plain english towards the end of the video, (shot in Las Vegas), says coming out in late May for $1899.00 (USA dollars). About $200.00 for the mike.

First they said $800 then $1500 now $1899? If that's the case Panasonic can kiss my ass that is if what you said was true it being USA money.

Yeah, John next time I visit Vegas I'll make sure and stop by Toronto, Canada and spend my CND dollars there.

The D400 should be around $1800 for the body.....If it has a manual shutter and higher bitrate I know what I'd rather spend the money on.

We are complaining and complaining...in the end we are maybe a year away from having good cameras so cheap they are no longer an issue. We can spend money on mics and grip equipment!

This reminds me of the DVC100 (original, not A or B) or JVC's first HDV camcorder. They did new things...just were not complete. 18 months later we had the Sony, the XL-H1, and the HVX200. Or the DVX100 was followed by the DVX100A that solved most of the issues.

Still, if Panasonic had only used Canon's recording scheme. Still, they pointed the way for those who follow and will sell a few to consumers whose only filter says UV.
