Doesn't the FS7 have custom mode besides just Cine-EI? On my F55 I can set color temperature in custom mode with SLog2/3.
Oh, I know - am very aware of it. But let's not go down that worm hole (regarding how using slog in custom on FS7, etc, renders colors different than shooting Slog in CineEI).
What the A7sIII has (and I believe the FX9 ??) is ability to dial in any WB, and WB the camera while shooting in Slog3 cine. It also essentially has dual gain - with 640 & 12800 ISO choices. I am hoping to do some side by side comparisons later this week.
Sony has been telling us for years that preset WB in slog was a necessity to maximize sensor capabilities. Now they're changing their tune?
I haven't followed the FX9 that closely... any owners out there want to chime in if you can now WB in CineEi mode? Or is it still on S-cinetone and custom mode?

They'll probably match C70's price... What concerns me is a). If it has the same sensor as the FX9, the lower than expected DR performance and b). As a B-cam matching my FS7 to Sony's new color science...
Sony probably doesn't want you hanging on to the FS7 to use as a B-cam to the FX6. They probably either want you buying a FX6 as a B cam to a FX9 or buying a A7Siii as a B cam to a FX6. People hanging onto
old cameras doesn't make Sony more money...

The FX6 is different from the a7s III. I own an a7s III and find it about the best mirrorless video camera I've shot. But dedicated video cameras are different. Be patient and wait for FX6 if you want to compare specs and features. a7s III can be a remarkable video camera-- don't get me wrong. It depends upon your needs, shooting style and budget. Hang in there C100Scottie!
