First Philip Bloom footage with 7D

wow @ bokeh. Very nice looking stuff. Jello is still present in that last shot as the camera vibrates making his face ripple ever so slightly, but that, in no means, looked like a wide lens. Can't wait..

aight, so we still have to deal with slightly touchy jello, but everything else is perfect.

It's worth noting, as Mr. Bloom has on his blog, that his camera is a pre-production model. What exactly that means in terms of Jello, however, I have no idea.

I thik it's fine. I'm sure none of us expected it to be completely gone. I just want to see images without lots of bokeh...it just makes me claustraphobic.

Dude...my wife's a therapist. Everytime I piss her off I'm disgnosed with something different....everyday. LOL

LOL tell me about your childhood...
When he was 8 months old?

Philip Blooms likes his DOF shallow. Did you notice that he refocused each time another glass was put on the table. I wonder how hard is to focus with this thing. What focus assist features does it have.

It has 5x and 10x zoom. But from my experience with the 5Dmkii it's hard to use on the fly, it's mainly to set up a shot. But the LCD on the 5D is wonderful and Philip said the 7D 's is better so I think focusing sounds and looks do-able on the LCD

doesnt make me thirsty ,makes me angry, its not what i expected from filmmaker when everyone is waiting for decent footage

Wow angry? really?
Umm I kinda of appreciate these types of candid shots. Decent footage is usually editing together the best footage and grading them and is basicially like seeing a chick in tons of make up and a pushup bra. For evaluation purposes I think candid, unedited shots are mor revealing and provide a better base line for what the camera's true performance is like.

I could do without the hyper shallow depth of field but as a promo video it's probably something canon wants to show off so indies can see the range. I'm looking forward to seeing more.

I simply pulled focus manually using the lcd screen, no assist. tricky but am quite good at it after all these years.

MUCH BETTER FOOTAGE COMING LATER. this was a little joke video post
