E-mount FS700II 4K camcorder?

It seems we're going to be able to have a live stream on any phone/tablet/computer through wifi and NFC. Start/stop trigger, change iris, gain and other controls. Lovely!

Yep - IMO more important is the director giving a take a star rating, or during a long interview noting when it gets interesting (could add markers to the clips)

Also of course synching multiple cameras.

This may sound like a dumb question, but doesn't XQD support sufficient data rates for at least compressed raw? I know Sony wants to sell $5K raw recording modules, but I don't know why this would be technically necessary. The BMD Ursa records raw to CFast, which, unless I'm mistaken, is about the same speed as XQD.

What's your issue with the CMV12000? 300fps @4K and variable DR (up to 15.5 f-stops) sounds pretty good to me!
The BMD 4K production camera (BMPC) and Ursa and the AJA Cion also use the CMV12000. The BMPC has had issues with fixed pattern noise (which have been greatly mitigated in the 1.9.3 firmware release) and poor low-light performance. The dynamic range has been described as somewhat narrower than that of the original BMC camera. The CMV12000's vaunted 15-stop range is achieved through HDR methods that may result in visible artifacts or reduced resolution. Its native dynamic range is closer to 10 stops maximum. I suggest reading this thread.

Defintely looks like F5/F55 battery on the very end, but the thing in-between does not look like the R5 Recorder.

It seems really big and awkward with the two things on the back.

Philip Bloom posted it 2 hours ago, and then EOSHD also.

Body itself looks smaller than in the Chinese photo, thankfully. Don't really care what those 2 things are hanging off the back as long as they're optional.

Well Sony are calling it a WOW announcement aren't they? So my money's on a 3D holographic recording unit ;)

I wonder how large that screen is. For 4k especially, i'm loving the 7Q for being very large and very clear! I can't see keeping the 7Q if for some reason i buy this new FS7, but i'd need a very good on board monitor.

I wonder if it will have 4k Raw output? I absolutely love the 4k Raw output on my FS700 and 7Q. I kinda doubt it will have the Raw output, but we will find out soon enough.
