1. Golf Channel Interview Shoot for end of month canceled today
2. Tabletop Shoot for Studio canceled today
3. Sony Venice workshop/training canceled today

Still have a two day shoot for the beginning of April scheduled that was a live event, that has been rescheduled with no audience and a live stream and satellite upload. Fingers crossed.
2020 has been a debacle for work, seems as if it as just starting to pick up a little. Dammit.

Ugh, I had norovirus once. It was the worst. Vomit coming out one end. Diarrhea out the other. Brutal.

Got ya beat (not that it is a contest).

Retuned from a work trip to the middle east in December of 2012.

Came down with Flu A AND B, AND Bacterial Meningitis.

Was out of mind, had to be restrained on a gurney screaming my head off out of my house in the middle of the night.

Taken to the ICU, had a spinal tap, 4 different IVs with antibiotics in me, and was intubated. Was in a medical coma for 8 days.

Woke up and had no idea what happend.

Totally deaf in one ear. Lost 30 lbs of muscle. Lungs had shrunk my 50%. I flatlined TWICE.

Had to learn to walk again. Was in rehab for a month.

Would not reccomend.

my whole march freed up in one day.... :(

Lots of cancellations and rescheduling with my projects. Hopefully this gets resolved soon!

$5K-$10K evaporated for me today with just the NCAA decision. And a friend of mine today moved his knee surgery up like a month since it looks like March and April, at least, are gone.

Holy **** man. Welcome back to the land of the living. Please take care of yourself during this craziness. How did you think you contracted all of that in the mideast.

LOL...no it wasn't a contest, but if it was...you'd win easily! Worst thing I ever dealt with was tearing a hole in my esophagus trying to force some food down. Legit thought I was having a heart attack. Eating anything was excruciating for a while...I doubt I would have survived what you had with my asthmatic lungs.

If the onset of this crisis has taught me anything it's that (1) the human body's ability to resist and recover from infection is truly a wonder, and (2) so very many people do not understand math, exponentials, statistics and other such concepts.

So, I get a robocall from the local government center. "The City of Sunny Isles Beach is under the state of emergency".

A neighbor friend posts a Facebook video from Costco - bare shelves.

... Of course made even worse by the Saudi v Russia oil war...
It's not a war but an annihilation. I could expand on that ... but wrong thread.

It's time to start buying back in a bit at a time on the way down (don't listen to ANYONE about investment advice. So ignore that)...
About 20 year ago, during a tech bubble, there was a NoCal based site called the Contrarian Investor (they disappeared and now there's a UK based site with the same name). Their logo was, "When there's consensus of thinking, there's no thinking at all".

Of course, something like a Today Show is a "shirpotreb" anyway.

Today the health authorities and the F1 organization have just cancelled the first round of the Formula 1 race season which was due to kick of today Fri 15th in Melbourne. That's 300,000 visitors, race team members and F1 TV production crew from around the world thrown into airline and hotel booking chaos. People screaming on TV why leave it till the last minute. Five hours before the first practice session. World F1 TV audience of 1.922 billion people, 2019 figures, gone so massive reprogramming of four days of wall to wall international TV coverage. I think we will see a lot more of this Covid impact on TV and video production as a whole. Right across the board life as we know it will change for the foreseeable future. Going by past history the recovery period could be dragged out to some degree.

Words to live by. The road less traveled is where the gold nuggets are. Stay away from the lemmings.

NBC and the other outlets must be clenching their sphincters thinking about the summer Olympics.

The big uncertainty here is what will it take to calm the panic, and when will that something come about?

At this point about all we can hope for is panic fatigue. People / industries start moving towards resuming activity because they have no choice but to move towards resumption.

The problem is not the panic, the problem is the virus. The virus is real, it won't go away even if everybody is lackadaisical or in total denial about it!

I've already lost three video shoots this month. And they closed all Broadway shows, so my wife is out of a job until at least mid April. This is going to be hard on my wallet.

Geez! Thought the Olympics might get postponed twelve months but hadn't even a though that far ahead re the TV rights side. :(

Not sure if anyone posted this, but psychic/author Sylvia Browne said the following in her 2008 book End of Days:

[Apparently Kim K. pointed it out on Twitter after hearing about it.]

"In around 2020, a severe pneumonia-like illness will spread throughout the globe, attacking the lungs and the bronchial tubes and resisting all known treatments. Almost more baffling than the illness itself will be the fact that it will suddenly vanish as quickly as it arrived, attack again ten years later, and then disappear completely."

In one day, My company lost 90% of our events at our location for the month of march. I was going to have one hell of a week next week and now nothing. Thankfully i'm guaranteed 40hrs a week, so i'll be doing a lot of organizing in the a/v cages in coming week to keep busy lol. Also, Colorado is now at 48 cases I believe. I expect us to hit 100 before April 1st at this rate. It's really not being nice to Colorado. Here I thought my home city of Chicago would have gotten it worse given its such a large international hub and right in the middle of the country. Goes to show you how much I know lol.
