"Classified" - Elton & Charli Production

Phew! I was hoping at least one person would get a mild laugh out of it. Thanks MAH, checks in the mail. ;-)

I was thinking of calling it 'Lost Highway 2: The Switcheroo", or maybe even just 'More Cowbell', but I knew that would run into a few complaints here. ;-)

Tim does a pretty funny Walken impression. We had finished the scene and were driving back to the staging point and I told him to do his lines CW style. Hehe

Doing pickups and a reshoot of a scene in a week or so. (if the weather clears up again)

Will post updates in our User Films thread. Just wanted to say thanks to those that followed our thread and at least show a little footage--even if it's a silly outtakes gag.

Cheers to those that finished their films. Taking it all in today and tomorrow. Many comments coming!

Thanks Noel, sorry for the confusion. Happy to see a strong entry from you. More detailed comments soon.

To clarify - The director's cut of this film, our exhibition is an OUTTAKE, part of our gag reel, in which our lead actor all of the sudden impersonates CHRISTOPHER WALKEN. It's just a joke. We had zero time to edit but we wanted to add something funny, humorous to the event. This is just a snippet of a deserted road in which the actors are continuing to say their lines but having a little fun while they drive back to the beginning run of road.

Fine - what I saw was very enjoyable and the costumes and props are great. Let me know when the rest of the film is ready - so I will probably understand the story

Thanks guys, I appreciate the encouragement. Hopefully we will be finishing in style, in 2-4 weeks. Not gonna drag it out.

We had some amazing fx props created for us by fellow dvxuser Col. Panic, and I simply couldn't make them work without some expert help on set. They were integral to the climax of the story, and I just screwed the pooch trying to execute it.

Glad you guys got a chuckle at least. I'm surprised nobody's talked about there being 2 male leads in it. Hee hee, I'm so clever.

Two actors??!! Are you sure? Isn't it one actor with two different sides to his face? Sort of like an EGGO after it's been flipped?
Fun film though, what there was of it. And great photography.

Ok, I know the W stands for Walken, but what does the T and F stand for?

But seriously I have a touching drama that just went back on the market that could use that location and those vintage cars. Hit me up if you're interested. Thank you for letting me hijack your thread.

Heh, I guess I should've put a ? after those letters. Or maybe it was a nod to a great line from Risky Business. ("every now and then say WTF.")

Thanks Chris, I am the last person to say anyone's hijacking anything. I've got a full plate right now but I'd love to check out your script. I appreciate the quality writing you've contributed to different filmmakers here.

Yo man, LEGGO MY EGGO! Hehe.

Thanks--kills me that we couldn't participate in the competitive fun but I'm confident we have a pretty fun film to show fairly soon. Kind of liberating to not have cut it to 6 min though. The third act will need a little more elbow room.

well me you and charli have been in touch so i knew you guys weren't getting the film done in time, so when you uploaded an edit i knew SOMETHING was fishy.
when your actor broke into walken impersonation i laughed out loud. it was spot on. on another note, great production value with the costumes cars and locations.
and the crane shots are amazing.

LOL I had to watch it twice because it caught me off guard at first :-)

But I do love the look of this film and I think it could turn out to be really good. The opening shot looked fantastic! When do you expect to have it finished?

Where was this uploaded to?

I'd like to check out the director's cut but I don't know which forum it's in.

EDIT: Never mind. Found it.
