I think that the Angeniuex Rouge are some of the nicest PL zooms at a decent speed and manageable weight.

they're still a darn sight better than a stills lens.
Problem with the DigiOptics and Red 18-50 were that the housings weren't that vastly superior.
Of course it does.I gather that the RED 50-150mm T3 ZOOM did not have these problems?
Learned a couple of new things. Stock up on Class 6 cards instead of Class 4.By the way...how awesome that you are in Japan...I can't wait to hear your review of the new AF-100 near completion....
Ummm... I'm not gonna make any assumptions on what this means, but it seems to me to mean something super significant. Class of card defines speed of throughput or write speed. Class 6 is 6MB/s performance which equates to 48mbps!!!!Learned a couple of new things. Stock up on Class 6 cards instead of Class 4.![]()

Barry????? Your comment on this?

The optics aren't necessarily better than stills lenses. Some stills lens optics are very good. Inexpensive cinema lenses aren't about vastly superior optics, they're about vastly superior housings, mechanicals, and operations (witness the Compact Primes).
Problem with the DigiOptics and Red 18-50 were that the housings weren't that vastly superior. Better than stills lenses, but not as good as genuine cine lenses. But then again, they aren't priced like cine lenses either.
Considering Barry's comment, either class 6 is better for quality standards (something we all knew), or they bring more features. My guess is towards the latter. So you guys think they're going to announced revised specs with new features?

That could be what he was referring to. It would be cool of course if it was more.Total speculation: We'll need Class 6 cards for the 1080/60p slo-mo. I doubt they'll increase the bitrate, but I sure would love it if they did!

however they could have higher bitrates up their sleeves. or avcpro hahaha yeah not realistic
