Just to note, the Convergent Design Odyssey7Q+ will fully support the new Canon C300 mk2, in both 4K video output and 4K RAW output, plus in 2K/HD 12-bit 444 output. We'll support the new XC10 as well.
4K/UHD video recording to ProRes and 2K/HD 12-bit RGB 4:4:4 are "out-of-the-box" with no additional cost. 4K/UHD RAW up to 60p requires the Canon RAW Record Option.Hey Mitch, will that require an additional license or is it out of the box?
I'm confused. Your second sentence seems to contradict the first. The second says that the video output is limited to 4K30p and the first says it can output 4K60p.We have confirmed with Canon that the C300 Mark 2 will output 4K RAW up to 60p, just like the C500. The 4K video is limited to 4K30p, both for internal recording and for video output.
Does anyone know the weight of the Mark II?

Will the cheaper Atomos CFast cards be compatible with the Mark II?

Looks like a serious competitor to Alexa and new Varicam. Price is not too high for what you get.
What does it take to fully kit out a Red Scarlet?
A Freudian slip?... Please note that the video output of the C500 Mark 2 utilizes dual 3G-SDI outputs.
It's about one third the price of the Varicam and 1/5-6th of the basic Alexa (which doesn't have a real 4K sensor either). It's a totally different price-per-value camera.Looks like a serious competitor to Alexa and new Varicam. Price is not too high for what you get.
