Atomos Ninja Update

So in order for this to work you need:

Atomos Ninja
1 Battery
1 2.5" Drive
1 HDMI cable
Some way to hook it up to your camera.

Am I missing something?

Can you only buy it from Atomos or will B&H photo also sell it?

I guess so.

@Simon, I read somewhere that the ninja comes with 2 batteries, 1 master caddy and 1 dock to connect the HD to you PC.
I bet that most stores will offer it in bundle with either a HD or a SSD and it wouldn't be a surprise to see it on BHP. I pre-ordered the ninja 2 months ago so I hope to have more info to share next week, when they're supposed to contact me to confirm my order.

By pre-ordering do you mean subscribing via email to Atomos to show interest for the product or did you actually put a deposit down ? I filled out a form about 3 months ago that was billed as a pre-order form but all it did is sent me an automated reply saying that thanks for the interest and that they would let me know when the the product wad ready for shipping and buying.

Just curious.....
 
same boat here. the website now states they started to ship this week and for the people that pre-ordered they said the following: "Those who have pre-ordered will be contacted during the week ending Feb 12, and given details on where to purchase their Ninja."
 
I was contacted yesterday, Feb 8, here in Vancouver Canada by an Atomos rep. Told where the closest distributor was going to be and that they would in turn contact me, presumably when they have the Ninja in their possession. He couldn't answer any technical questions. He told me Atomos will be selling through distributors only.

We placed an opening order with the USA distributor for five of the $995 kits.
i was told that they'd start shipping on the 15th to dealers. We'll see next week.
 
I received an email several days ago telling me that they are ready to ship my Ninja, they just need me to tell them when I preordered it so they could figure out what order I would receive mine. This is funny on two levels, I didn't preorder, just signed up for information and isn't it their job to know when people preordered? Think I'll wait to let others debug.
 
They have a Ninja on the CVS stand at BVE which is taking place right now at Earls Court in London. They had only just got their hands on it and wouldn't let me play with it. Stuck behind a glass case. The guy did say the Ninja would be in stock next week. If it lives up to it's billing its going to sell like hot cakes.
