Hell. If the image quality stands up its a steal! I'd handle it with kid gloves if need be. LOL Can't wait to hear the first reviews on this.

I ordered one to my local dealer 3 days ago. He told me that the distributor will ship it as soon as he gets the new firmware, which hopefully will be released this week.
I guess next week I'll be busy testing it and I will upload some footage.

there's no way to get camera timecode or denecke timecode onto this at all? :(

Timecode is totally overrated IMHO. Actually the last time I used it, was in a player/recorder editing suite with 3 Digibetas.
That was about 100 years ago, before I moved to NLE.

I usually record in camera - out of the field mixer - whenever possible and I always use a clapper board anyway, even on MOS shots.
The Ninja also records sound over HDMI - I would prefer XLR inputs (and components or SDI) though.
I broke my Firestore and would buy the Ninja in a heartbeat if I could use it with my HVX200. But with HDMI only it´s a deal breaker.

Does the HMX200 have SDI out? In which case use a Yellowbrick SDI to HDMI converter. They are small enough to strap to the back of the Ninja with velcro.

No, I wish it had.
They are some consumer RGB + Sound to HDMI converters out there,
but no XLR and I doubt signal quality for video too.

There are lots of $50 component to HDMI adapters on the market, and they even embed audio in the HDMI stream. They are mainly used to intrigrate older HD home theater devices into newer HD home theaters. One of those $50 boxes could easily make the Ninja work with your 200. Look on Amazon for them, they are everywhere.

I thought the D-terminal coming out of the HVX is analog component? I didn't think a simple component to HDMI cable would work. I would assume you you need a convertor box of some sort. Also, the HVX doesn't spit out 1080 24p- instead it's like how the DVX did it, imbedded in a 60i stream. I'm not sure the Atomos can handle a signal like that anyway.

I haven't used one, but I don't see why this wouldn't work.

I don't see a buy in now button.
I got a call from the US rep and he said he would give me a call once they were available in the US.

I already pulled the trigger on the buy it now and haven't heard anything about shipping yet. I'll post when it ships.

Thanks! I'm sure a lot of us are eagerly awaiting yours and others Ninja's to arrive as much as you are. When did you pull the trigger? What I want to know is, is there pulldown removal or at least does it flag the frames so they can be removed in post easily? If it does either one of those things I will buy it, if not I will probably be spending a bit more for a competitive product.

I pulled the trigger over a week ago and now it seems there are more delays. As to the pulldown question, I'm not sure. I figured I'd test it when I got it and if I wasn't happy with the unit I would just ebay it.

If it doesn't ship this week I'm not going to be happy I can tell you that.
