Aftershock bodycam

Freakin genius!

Totally agree. I had considered something that was already out on the market, but I was wrong. Darn fine invention. I am sure that this will be a big benefit in the film world. Like Garrett did with his Steadicam, this can sure be used in many action instances. Congrats. Hope you make the big bucks. :)

Gary... YOU da' man!! That is SO cool. Genius, just genius. Now I can't wait for it to hit the market and we can see it in action (ina BTS way).
Best of luck, I imagine you shouldn't have trouble selling it, there's nothing like it that I know of.

Cheers & thank you for the picture!

Man every time I see this your rig I kick myself for not thinking it up. Beautiful man, just beautiful.

You all are so kind. I put up the pic for you... and now it evaporates into the mist again. I hope that some company will want to make this, or else I will just have one amazing copy made by a machinist and then hire the rig out to film and TV companies with me running it until there IS interest.

Until something changes, this is my last post on this thread for a while. Matt and I are in the final stages for our feature STRICKEN. Wish us the best and pray for a good profit from distribution. --Gary Sconce :Drogar-BigGrin(DBG)

Matt and I showed the Aftershock Spinrig test film NORRIS at the Action on Film Festival and the response for the Aftershock Bodycam was explosive. DP's from all over the world are interested in the unit.

A really big investor wants to invest in the rig and I will be putting in a lot of time to get the more expensive dual action motor controlled version up and running for those investors. We will be professionally machining a perfect version that will be shown to DP's from many of the major film companies.

It is getting very exciting and kind of scary. It will hopefully be really big...

Amazing build and loved the video !

Gary if you already have a patent pending going, then lease it don't sell the idea. !

Thanks!
Leasing it for DP's to use is another option. Say, a daily fee, with a grip/camera operator along for the money plus travel, food and board.

Gary another idea you could try, at least small scale to make some cash, sell the rights to individual indi filmmakers to build their own based on your plans, you can set up contract that would allow them to build one rig per fee paid, I know its an honor system thing but honestly once you posted your pic little wheels started turning in a lot of diyers, many of us would pay to have the right to have a legal body cam, rather than a knock off. as far as people selling them you still have the same control over that as you currently do with people knocking it off based on your photos and videos.

Interesting idea Jason. I still have parts of the rig I want to add for even more capabilities. I have three things I am still adding that will make it do more.

Can't wait to see the video, Now that Stricken is in the can, when is AfterShocks next feature set?

We are in preproduction for our next feature, a comedy called THE PARK to be shot next summer. We are going about seeking attachments for the leads at the moment. We will be attaching our leads and solidifying funding and distribution before we make the film this time... Live and learn.

The script THE PARK won a script award at Action on Film for 'Comic Excellence'. We are proud to be shooting another feature from another award winning script. We will then immediately shoot Matt's amazing drama MAGIC and then go post for both at the same time. We are doubling up to have two different products to distribute, one a comedy, (hard to distribute) and one a drama, (easier to distribute).

We are trying to attach a really big comic so keep us in your prayers... It is a juggling act. For instance, Jack Black has a minimum guarantee of $2M and Steve Carell has a minimum of $16M, with Ben Stiller at $20M guarantee. To get a comedy distributed you have to have a really big name or they won't risk capital. The juggle is to get the funding to be there IF you attach the name, and then prove to the name that the funding will be there... All at the same time. :dankk2:

too bad I missed the photo but I imagine its a giant diaper with a small hooola ring right?

looks like you really invented something Gary!!! Maybe you could call it the Michael Ballhaus cam ?

SpinRig moving forward

SpinRig moving forward

I received a call from a gentleman representing a large investor today who wants me to meet him on the Men In Black set at Warner Bros regarding the SpinRig and the Aftershock Bodycam tomorrow.

They want to talk about investing in a company to make the thing. Let's hope it comes about.

Very exciting!

I have taken down the pic of the SpinRig. Hope you all liked it. (Quoting Porky Pig...) Ubadeea Ubadeea, That's All Folks!

I am so pissed!!!! I missed the picts!!!!!!! I have been waiting my entire life here Gary

Just kidding, but seriously what a cruel trick. Please PM me when ever you are thinking about putting them up again. I've been really busy myself lately. I can't believe I missed it. So curious! Can someone describe it for me?
