Affordable camera with internal 10bit 422 4K?

What you would like does not exist...and probably never will. (There will always be something wrong or inconvenient.)

It's something all of us have experienced year after year after year...welcome to the world of cameras.

The GH5 records continuously as long as you have room on the SD card, which is essential for long events. Does the Fuji X-T3 have a 30 minute record limit, or can it also record continuously?

Ok. But what is the advantage of GH5 over a DVX200? Seems for events and run and gun the DVX200 is perfect over the GH5. It's also m43, but has internal ND, XLR, zoom, etc.

Oh, sure, the DVX200 is great, too. But I thought you wanted interchangeable lenses. With a GH5, you can use a speedbooster to get S35 field of view using full frame lenses, which would give you significantly better low-light performance than a DVX200. Also, the GH5S is even better in low light thanks to its dual-ISO setting. But if you need a servo-zoom and built-in ND filters, then the DVX wins. Depends on your needs.

But for some reason DVX200 was not a hit, was it? For sure not as much as GH5. You would think the pro video camera should be bigger hit than the photo camera that shoots video. What was the problem? Dynamic range, image quality, noise, low light, or what?

I don't know why Panasonic did not release an upgraded DVX200 with features equivalent to the GH5 / GH5s ?

Many camera companies don't get it right with the very first version, but they do with the second or third iteration of a camera design.

To be honest I even thought DVX200 was discontinued by now. But looked at BH and it looks like it's not. Not big hit all. Still would like to know why it wasn't big hit and if related to image quality.

Do you think we'd still be making it if the DVX200 was not popular? It's actually quite impressive how the camera contines to sell month after month even though it has been out for quite a few years.

Didn't know. Don't know anybody shooting with it and it doesn't get much talk online.

Why not go to your local camera store and check out the DVX200 (and other cameras)? Most online chatter is about the latest, where 'new' is the most important 'feature'. In a way, it's about drama- new things that are good or bad. You can see this cycle repeat with every camera release: pretty much the same show only different camera every release. Many of us realize the Sony A7S III will be forced to have pretty much everything we've all wanted in one camera, and thus it appears Sony delaying it as long as possible. Maybe the X-T3 will hold us over and maybe someone else will do something better than what the A7S III will be? Come on ARRI & Leica, have a baby raised by Ferrari! ;)

People spending most of their time doing work/creating aren't on forums on making YouTube videos unless it's part of their business model (advertising, customer/fan/follower engagement, etc.). Perhaps bring your laptop and load footage while in the store to see what's going on. There's only so much you can learn from forums and YouTube- ultimately you'll determine what works from first-hand experience. Unless your goal is just the entertainment of chatting about cameras with no real intention of buying a camera? (nothing wrong with that, though maybe change the narrative to reflect the truth)

No. More like, I can test it as much as I want in a store. Never will be the same as living with it for months or years which is what you get when you hear it from people who have it.

Speaking of dramas and movie roles and parts, is anyone in this thread playing the role of mismatcher?

I could be wrong, but honestly it doesn't appear you're actually looking to buy a camera- you have an excuse for every suggestion to help you?
