It seems that is going to have on camera OIS. If that is true I think is great. Can't wait to see some footage!
Hi John: It's possible (likely?) the "OIS" switch on the side of the cam body just controls an OIS-capable lens, and the body itself doesn't have IS built-in.

Or the switch might be a shortcut to the OIS menu to select among the different OIS modes.

Don't get me wrong, in-cam IS would be awesome, but I haven't heard this mentioned as being a potential feature of the AF100.

We'll find out soon enough.

I've been shooting with it for the last couple of days. I'll be posting a bit more info when the show opens, so give me 20 minutes to get it together.

Any idea of a release date? Realistically? It says end of 2010 which leads me to assume that it'll be out and widely used by spring. I'm shooting the last week of October and it would just make my day to have the opportunity to shoot with this.

I haven't been given any news on release date, so I wouldn't expect to see it before midnight December 31st (that is, after all, the "end" of 2010, right?) Any sooner than that would be good news. I'll ask for an update, but so far they haven't said anything different than "end of 2010".

Burial of a DVX

Hi guys, these are my first lines ever in this gorgeous:Drogar-BigGrin(DBG) site. After carrying my DVX 100BE on my side for five lovely years, i guess the AF 100 will be the one replacing it. After all, there´s always a moment in the life of every dvxuser to accept the loss of this good friend, probably the end of 2010 (in Europe aswell?).
Can´t wait for Barry´s report...
