Yes, that is one of the issues with an extreme subtractive curve, the transition to blow out is ugly and the contrast in the highlights gets perverted.
I'll get rid of that highlight issue for you.

reddino, the file in the link has been changed. The highlights have been adjusted.





So the current generation of DSLRs will never have the range that we all desire and no picture style can change that. Is there a technical 'best middle ground'? There must be some sort of equation that will achieve that? Thanks for everything so far, you are clearing things up that I have struggled with for a while!
