"ABHORRENCE" - A ZazaCast Film

something wrong with the download for individual file Zaza (not the zips) I'm only getting a 4k file

This one had a flow of shots and of editing that your others have lacked. Really nice job there. The under-lighting with shadows on the walls was a little distracting at times, but it was creepy and had suspense throughout.
Nice music as always.
Good actors and good script. I liked the ending, the wife....hmmmmmmmmm. Not her thing.
But overall I enjoyed it. Thanks!

Ha ha ha ha chortle that was frickin' hilarious !!!

Do not go in there !! (bathroom) lol omg I'm still chuckling

My pick to win

This one was very nice... Good framing, nothing really that disoriented me or so...

And the end was surprising funny.

I can't go to the bathroom now, thanks a lot, Za(z)a.

Yours was the first film I watched. When I saw the gruesome face pop out in the beginning, I thought, "Why would Zaza show his face on film, I know how camera shy he is?" (wink) I laughed. It was such a "Raiders of the Lost Ark" melted-face-scene I had to laugh.

Yes, lighting less than stellar. But here's the thing about "plausible believability" - if you were the person downstairs, heard a noise upstairs, any NORMAL person would turn on the lights to the whole freakin' house. To play it in the dark with the shadows, uh, no.

Screenwriter Max Adams who wrote "Excess Baggage" was the first professional in this business who gave me sound advice, "Keep it real."

I didn't buy it. Ending was fun-ny. I got a laugh. I moved on.

I liked it. The title makes perfect sense now that I've seen it. :)

I thought the shots were very well composed. You were one of the few that actually had me leaning a bit as he went upstairs.
The actor was pretty good as well. He sold it. Pretty natural on screen. The other one too.

Yes, lighting was hit and miss but I know you were kind of going for shadows so I get it.
Maybe diffuse the light a little bit next time.

My biggest gripe would be that I knew it was going to be a joke.
This goes to all the filmmakers. As we get to know you, it gets harder for you to surprise us. I can be guilty of this as well.

Music fit the vibe you were going for. No problems there.

I know your reviews have been hit and miss this fest but for me, this is one of your best.
Take yourself seriously and let us have it. I expect that you are going to wow everyone very soon. I see a lot of good stuff here.

Out Of The Closet....

Out Of The Closet....

Thanks all for the comments!

As with all films, we come up against something that put a kink in your shooting plans. I thought I'd share this one.
I really wanted the shot from inside the closet looking out....easy right, just get in the closet and shoot...done.

Wrong answer. Once I got to the tiny apartment we shot in, I discovered that the ONLY closet in the place was just
one foot deep and filled to the top with boxes, etc. I could never fit in it with a camera for the shot.

Solution:
We found an old chin-up bar in the basement, I got Mike to hold that up, loaded with coats in the walkway between the
livingroom and kitchen...and it worked! (and Mike is just a little stronger for it)

Quick review.

Thanks I needed a laugh - I'll rephrase, I needed a well crafted surprise laugh. Thank you!
