$65 Loupe on T2i it rocks!

Trying to recoup money put into these viewfinders is my last priority, I simply want a low cost option to help me focus. To pay more for something just so I can sell it for more doesn't make me come out ahead in the end...think about it.

Damn. :(

No you need to think about it. These dslrs are constantly changing and if you are ever in trouble financially you have to look at all of your assets. If I pay $144 for an LCDVF and I'm able to sell it for $120 that means it holds value and worth it.

I bought this viewfinder for $99 and I doubt I could sell it right now to anyone for even $50. So while you might think your saving more up front it is better to buy from a company that has a name that holds value is supported and worst comes to worst you can always sell it.

If I anted to sell my loupe right now how would anyone buy a mounting frame for it? As a matter of fact I'm going to prove my point right now.

ANYONE who wants to buy this loupe from me BRAND NEW minus the mounting bracket because I attached it to my camera RIGHT NOW I will sell it for $90 shipped. Someone please prove me wrong that this loupe has value

Cieloent...chill dude...it's all good.

Lucas, I love it because it's $69 with free shipping. I like my chinese one but would have grabbed this one in a heartbeat.

EDIT: I was actually starting to go down the road of designing one of these because of the increadible profit to cost ratio and now glad I didn't. I even scoped out parts and found a plastics person to make the main body but looks like the jig is up :(

I looked back last time I spoke to him was July 7, I was busy on a project so I haven't talk to him since.

Yes, I would order extra frames..just in case. Not that I'm having a problem...but i like to have extras of everything at my dispose if something goes down. Plus, its cheaper in shipping...he'll probably package everything together as one shipment at the same price.

RockRoad2929 When was the last time you heard from Eric, I emailed him earlier this week looking for an update as I want to order another one for myself along with a few extra mounting frames and haven't heard back.

Looks like the Chinese version...I highly doubt is made in Poland...the seller is from there.

Looks like a good deal...I bought from Eric, sure its not the LCDVF or the Zacuto..but hell, its about $100-300 cheaper than those.

I want to focus...not to show off my gear on set. Do you think the client/investor is going to give you a hard time because it looks cheap. Their all made out of plastic...my god. Relax.

Enjoy that you saved the money. If you decide to sell one, I guarantee someone will buy yours for $50 bucks.

LOL and its from Poland. My country. I'd go with the Polish brand over a Chinese product.

^ agreed.

Problem: Can't see LCD in sun

Solution: plastic 'hood' to block sun

Who cares how "cheap" or what brand it has on it. My problem has been fixed and I didn't spend 400$.

I can think of at least 100 analogies where "cheap" does matter and this is specifically one. Good Luck trying to contact a seller , selling an item with no warranty or no manufacturer to help in the event of a problem.

I'm done here

$50

$50

If it helps, I can contact the seller (Eric) to see what's up. That's strange that he hasn't contact you.

You need to contact the Chinese or the US guy?

I still believe you can sell this loupe for more than 50...heck, I would buy from you if I didn't buy it before.

Good luck.

Reselling an item that cost less than $100 is something I rarely concern myself with when purchasing.

Got mine from the same auction as well...it works well. the frame just barely fits the lcd on the t2i and when the vf is attached you lose maybe a millimeter from each side of the screen, but it's great for focusing and shooting outside. Also comes with it's own carry case and it's easy to clip to your camera bag. it's made by Meike, my grip from china was also made by them and so far it's also worked well. I recommend it for that price.

I've never used a loupe before and sure I would fall in love with it upon using it, but is it acceptable to use the magnification on the T2i to assure your focus prior to recording? I know that it cuts out the sinlight and that could be the biggest selling point.

Just thought I'd post
$69 free shipping
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=180533470371&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT

ordered, shipped in 1 day from Poland?? got it 10 days later.

2.8 magnification seems to work well for me, decent quality, easy installation , well, well worth the cost vs some $300 brand. I'd recommend it.

I'm considering purchasing the same one. However now when you check the updated listing (link below) it specifically says "DOES NOT FIT CANON 550D / T2i". I'm guessing they haven't changed anything. Any ideas why they might have done this?

People probably complained that it did not fit the screen on the t2i. As long as you're OK with that, there's no problem.

I'd buy the foto-tip loupe than the LCD featured on the first page, but I'm happy with the one I got. It's $69 plus free shipping. I read you can buy a glass protector (GGS LCD protector, $20) and when you add this loupe to it, it clears the 1mm from each side.

I also read that foto-tip will come out with a T2i/550D version of this loupe in the next couple of weeks, so I'd wait if you're not in a hurry.

I bought the Foto-Tip loupe from Ebay. I'm extremely happy with it. It's a piece of plastic, don't spend more than $100 on one. The connection is solid through the magnet. Be wary of gear snobs on this forum. While I agree that you have to be a snob on most of your camera gear, this is an accessory that does not require a lot of cash like nice lenses, etc...
