5D MKIII specs

Looks like another month before we can do any serious pixel peeping...yawn. I hope Zacuto get the MKIII and D4 for this years shootout. Looks like I might have to get an FS100 just to do 60p 1080p.

Truthfully, an improvement in aliasing and RS and I'm in... I'm just saying, why film guys on bikes in Germany when there are SO FREAKING MANY genuinely interesting things to shoot out there!???

Lots of little torture tests built into that footage. Too bad Canon smothered the promo in compression. - But yeah, cheesy video.

Technically: It was an effort to show how the camera handled fast paced action.
Artistically: I don't know. The graffiti made it colorful and gave the location textural detail.
Bonus: It introduced me to a sport I had never even seen before, but might consider getting into now, ha.

"What separates the 5D’s video recording from that of other DSLRs is manual adjustment of settings and audio levels while recording. " - BHPhoto

Nikon doesn't do that.

Why do they keep doing that? A huge corporation with squillions in marketing dollars and they try to make their camera look as bad as possible to save some money on bandwidth. :nads:

I never would've thought a company should put their promos on vimeo, and then link that on their official site, but Canon's video promo vs Nikon's, I appreciate that I can actually see the video on Nikon's site, even if it is vimeo. The less pro route, ends up being more pro.

Emanuel's computer is making social commentary about forum posters.

I wish but I don't know Kholi. This happens when I try to edit. And it doesn't allow to delete them. No idea why.

PS: The duplicated posts come in automatic mode like the former 5DII when announced. No manual mode at all. Fortunately, the 5DIII is already full manual with C300 anyway. My posts with the new forum software are going backwards though :-( LOL

(you see, I don't even dare to edit them anymore!)

Well, with the exception of that bike-soccer or whatever, we still haven't seen sample still or motion images.

The Chuck Westfall briefing, as reported by "Planet5d" states significantly cleaner video at higher ISO's. The 91 Mbps intraframe in-camera recording puts it in a different league, relative to video, than Nikon's boasted AVCHD "with B frames." I still don't know enough about "ALL-I" to be impressed by it. But, in theory, I'd rather have an HDSLR recording 91 Mbps intraframe in-camera than an HDSLR that requires being plugged in to an external recorder.

So, without the sample images confirming the Chuck Westfall claims -- I think any declarations of this camera being a success or failure are speculative and premature.

Emanuel, please restart your computer!
Okay, it looks like I could clean the duplicated posts at least. But, I am still avoiding to edit -- to delete them even worst once it duplicates it on the contrary. However, your tip succeded as far as deleting the previous duplicated posts concerns. I don't even try to edit or I risk the same mess again. Do you have any idea what has provoked this nowadays? I've noticed with the new forum software. Any help is welcome. I am somehow curious. Hope not a virus. I ran avast and had no notice. You can colaborate here:
