It's $4200 in Australia so the rumour of $3500 in the US sounds about right.

Canon probably still undecided whether to give PAL user the 25P now or as an EPIC upgrade latter :)

No offense to the PALanders but I don't care about 25p. I need at least 720p 60p. If there is a god please make my dream a reality and I can die happy (well after I shoot with it of course). It's not looking to good tho. If this say Full HD 1080 with no sign of at least 720p somewhere it looks like a no go. I doubt Canon would give the 5D 1080p 60p and cripple the C300 and the 1DX with 720p 60p.

I just noticed that for file formats it has a bunch of video formats and then... RAW listed

New LCD...there goes a few hundred on a new viewfinder.

I have a feeling the AVI format was suppose to be Jpeg. Canon has never used AVI in it's DSLR's as far as I know of. So the RAW would just be for pics. We'll find out tonight 11pm (est)

the screen is not only 3:2, but also marginally bigger than that of the T2i, T3i, 60D, 7D (which are 3.0" instead of 3.2"), so yes: new loupe for everybody!

The dedicated start/stop video button, where the live view was previously, might be a indication of more focus on the video aspect.

watching to see if they are fixing moire
to me this is the single most important thing for video on the canon DSLR's
if they do it will likely roll out across the whole DSLR line for '12

^ highly unlikely - I'd just hope they've got rid of line skipping (no more aliasing/moire, sharper images) and have implemented a better codec (XF 422 8-bit quality would be all I'd hope for)

I can't see that there will be any changes to the actual video specs from the 5DII.... it will still be 1080 23/25/30 (with 720p 50/60).

The difference will be in quality and codec.

I suspect the no headphone jack (although a small thing) will not impress some. Also, USB2...why not USB3 :/ It's backward compatible with USB2 but it's becoming the now.

Looking forward to seeing the capabilities of this thing :D

Maybe an outside possibility of an announcement for the C-DSLR too? This seems like the right time for Canon to separate the product lines.
