    AC160 Help me with 24p

I am in need of some help here... I shoot weddings and 98% of the time I shoot 1920x1080 60i, 2% 1920x1080 30p. Anyway, I have a wedding coming up this weekend and the Groom apparently called yesterday and wondered if we could shoot the wedding in 24p. I did not talk to him, so I do not know...

    AC160 AC160 clip display

Is there any way to display the Clip name in the view finder rather than the timecode? I think it would be much easier to log clips this way rather than using Timecode, but I cannot seem to figure it out going through the display menu. Thanks, Phil

    AVCHD Viewer with Timecode

I hope I am posting this in the correct spot. We have several Panasonic HMC-150's and AG-AC160's. Is there any sort of software download for viewing the AVCHD clips that will also show the actual timecode of the clip? The only ones I have seen to play AVCHD just has each clip starting at...

    Convert HDMI to SD-SDI

Just curious if any of you have taken HDMI out of your cameras and run it through a converter like this one to get a SD-SDI signal out? If so what did you think about it? We have to run multiple to a mixer that only takes SD signal. We originally were going to go RGB but for some reason the...

    Card Failure

Well this weekend I had my first card failure! I was shooting at a seminar, just basically a bunch of B-Roll. So it was a lot of short clips. After about an hour of runtime on the card I got an error that said something like "Data Error Detected" then it asked me if I wanted to repair the...

    Timecode?

I edit on Premiere CS4 4.1 and it does not pull the TC from the AVCHD clips, which is quite frustrating. I have been going back and forth with Adobe on this and the latest thing that they have said is that AVCHD does not support TC. Do any of you that edit Native AVCHD on other NLE's have this...

    A-DADA 32gb Cards

We just ordered two of the A-Data 32gb cards from supermediastore and I was curious if anyone has been using these??? I know that A-Data has gotten somewhat of a bad rap from users when people first started getting the 150's so I am curious experiences with them lately...

    How are you making DVD's

I have been shooting events (weddings) with my 150 set to 720/60p. I finished editing my first one last week and everything went well except for the export to DVD. I am editing with Premiere CS4 and tried just telling the Media Encoder that I wanted a MPEG2 DVD file and set all my parameters...

    720/60p to DVD w/ Premiere CS4

I have been having some issues with creating a DVD that looked good from some 720/60p footage and came across this Tutorial this morning http://bellunevideo.com/tutorials/CS4_HD2SD/CS4_HD2SD.html that covers a couple different HD Frame sizes and Frame rates. The whole video is interesting but...

    Premiere Pro CS 4.1 Timecode

I have a couple of HMC-150's that we have shot a few events (weddings) with and really love them. Just this week we tried out the timecode sync for a 2 camera wedding reception. I just noticed that when I import the clips into Premiere CS 4.1 that there is no timecode. Well there is timecode...

Another Slo Mo Question (Premiere Pro CS4)

OK, first off I am editing on a PC with Premiere Pro CS4 I am shooting the footage 720 60p, then dropping it in a 720 24p sequence for the Slo Mo stuff. So here is my question... Lets say I am editing a wedding and I have a pre wed montage that is all Slo Mo, then it goes into the wedding...

After you are finished with the SD card

After you are finished with the footage that is on the SD card what do you do with the card to get it ready for the next shoot. Do You a) Use the Delete All function in the PB Mode? or b) Just reformat the card? Just wondering if one is better than the other.... Thanks Phil

Import Continus Clips into Premiere CS4

Hello everyone... I just purchased a few of these cameras and shot with them for the first time this weekend. I just used one as an extra camera to kind of get use to it. I know that since the memory on the SD Cards is FAT32 that you have the 4gb limit and the clips are split. So how do I...
