Convert HDMI to SD-SDI

Just curious if any of you have taken HDMI out of your cameras and run it through a converter like this one to get a SD-SDI signal out? If so what did you think about it? We have to run multiple to a mixer that only takes SD signal. We originally were going to go RGB but for some reason the client is really wanting SDI. I am wondering if there is going to be much difference in quality from taking RGB out of the camera or down converting the HDMI signal to SDI.
