when you get the focus right it creates some pretty amazing images.
4K 60p slowed to 1/2 speed at 30p, 180 fps sped up 1.333x, 15mm f/1.7 @f2.8, ISO 1600
After all my experimenting to get an editing solution for 10 bit GH5 footage and uninstalling multiple trial software, I've lost the ability to play back 60p and 10bit footage on my computer. I can't for the life of me see what is different now.
I have reinstalled directx 12, MPC-HC 1.7.11...
Anyone had any success editing 10bit GH5 clips?
What os, hardware and nle software combo's are working for you?
I'm having no luck on the PC, Win10, Vegas or Resolve side of things.
Only MPC-HC 64bit will play it for me.
Cheers,
Pete
Just received my new GH5 and have found that qt 7.7.9 and movie studio 13 & 14 will not show or edit 10bit 4.2.2 footage. It just shows a green bar for the space in the video line. Kind of surprised me as this is the first time I've had a codec issue since 2011. Movie Studio has always been...

Most all my work is outdoors in the backcountry and I'm looking into building a light weight lighting kit. I figured I should start with the battery system first. I'd like to build a kit consisting of a couple panels, some sort of china ball and a fresnel.
What battery system might be the...
Just saw this one.
http://www.eoshd.com/content/10824/panasonic-g6-review-the-gh2-redux
There's an interesting statement in there. He says the G6 uses an "NMOS" sensor vs a "CMOS". Anyone have any further reading on that one? I hadn't heard of that before. I always thought nmos was just a...
I have a hot pixel on my T3i that started intermittently, I think, about a month or so ago. Now it seems to be full time bright red.
Any suggestions? Is it something that can be fixed and has anyone ever sent their cam back to have it repaired? I saw a post about a 60D and doing a "manual...
Curious if anyone knows the release date for the new G6 ???
Amazon said yesterday it was today June 21st. Now it says "Temporarily out of stock"
My local dealer, who can sometimes get Panasonic stuff, called the rep and he said preorders would be late July or early Aug and regular dealer...
Running Movie Studio 12 64 bit. I uninstalled my older VMS10 and am now getting the stopped working message at the splash screen. If I wait a bit Movie Studio 12 build 896 64 bit it starts and works perfectly as long as I don't close the error message screen. Crazy !!!
Here's the error...
Anyone using an ultra light zenbook or ultrabook type laptop to transfer files from SD and a CF card reader to hard drives? I would also want to run the occational quick edit when on the road with Movie Studio 12.
I'd be currious to know what kind of transfer rate one could expect through USB3...
If anyone has shot and edited 2.7k Protune files, please share your workflow and how you think it turns out.
I've been getting some aliasing from the downscale to 1080p, but it seems to be a pretty specacular capture format if you want to be able to adjust curves, color and saturation.
Just...
Currious what folks are using for their workflow with the new gopro 2.7k clips?
I've been using Vegas Movie Studio 12. Seems to be working well, but I'm getting considerable aliasing when rendering 1080p.
Just interested in what others have been using and what their results might be.
Cheers...
I have a TM700 that I scratched the outer lens quite badly. It must have gotten a grain of sand or a tiny rock between the cover and the outer lens. I creates a nice flare when looking into the sun, but I'd like to get it replaced. It's only an $18 part, but you have to break the whole camera...
Curious if when in video mode if the GH2 can be started up silently? How loud is the button to turn it on and does the shutter open when it is powered up?
All dslr's that I know of make a ton of noise from the switch clicking on, raising the mirror and opening the shutter when powered on...
After the bare necessities and a couple of tid bits for the specialties, what's the best bang for your buck?
Is it lighting, sliders, gels ....? What have you guys found that brings the money shot for the least cost? Maybe it's not a piece of gear, but a technique or style of shooting that...
Trying to come up with a good idea to show a new clear tint toy in action.
I wanted to show a couple of kids playing with them, that excentuates and highlights the toy. I was thinking of starting with a very bright all white back drop and floor. Maybe even a black and white image with the toy...
I've been using a DPA 4061 lav and an Oktava 012 with a hyper cap into an H4n. I'm getting very boomy vocals and need suggestions on how to prevent it in the first place and how to post process the dynamics with compression, limiter, EQ and amplitude. I use Sound Forge Audio Studio through...
