I just tuned on my camera, yesterday, and noticed the flip-out LCD on my EX1 is very dim. This is not just because the iris is closed. The display information and even the "XDCAM" logo appear on the LCD very dimly. Has anyone ever had this problem?
Thanks, in advance for your help.
I recently purchased an EX1 thru ebay on the 8th of April. The ad stated that the owner would have the camera upgraded with the latest firmware at Sony, L.A. The seller dropped off the camera on the April 10th. Yesterday, (April 21st) the seller emailed me, saying that the camera still isn't...
Anyone run into any problems, losing footage, using systems like the MxM card adapters? Maybe we can keep a running tally of how reliable the 3rd party solutions are, vs. Sony's SxS Cards.
( I just bought 4x MxM card adapters for the EX1 I just bought and should be arriving this week - so...
Anyone have any success with matchmoving EX1 footage? I'm considering purchasing this cam for an effects-heavy feature - also considering the GY-HM700, as it uses full 1280x720CCDs.
(I've searched this topic but couldn't find anything specific to this cam.)
Just wondering if anyone's heard of price reductions coming for the EX1 - with the economy the way it is and NAB not too far around the corner?
(Little misspelling in the thread title - caught it too late to fix - Do-oh!)
I'm looking to lighten the load I have to carry to my shoots. Anyone know of a sturdy, lightweight alternative to the C-Stand? I'm looking for something to use for flagging and hanging silks.
Thanks.
I've shot with the HVX-200 and I've noticed very blocky reds, even at 1080P. Has anyone had any trouble with the color red, with the EX1?
Reason I'm asking is; I have a project with a candy apple red costume in it and I want to make sure it will render alright.
Thanks for your thoughts.
So, I just purchased a Broncolor 1200W HMI on ebay. Only trouble is, the light sounds like one of those mercury vapor lights you see in industrial settings. Anyone have any experience "quieting down" this type of light?
If not, I'm going to send it back.
Thanks in advance.
Okay, I know a lot of you may think this is a no brainer, but I've had some serious second thoughts about purchasing a Red - since I've seen what the EX1 can do.
