Dim LCD on EX1

I just tuned on my camera, yesterday, and noticed the flip-out LCD on my EX1 is very dim. This is not just because the iris is closed. The display information and even the "XDCAM" logo appear on the LCD very dimly. Has anyone ever had this problem?

Thanks, in advance for your help.

Maybe there's a brightness adjustment for the LCD. There is on the VX2100 by Sony - it's next to the volume. What does the manual say?

I did check the LCD brightness control - that didn't seem to help. I will check the back light. Thanks, guys, for your responses. KC

I was once shooting a wedding and I accidentally hit the LCD back light switch under the handle. I didn't know it was there and I was freaking out because I don't like using the EVF. I though my LCD was broken but eventually I found the switch and was very relieved.

Same thing happened to me on a racing assignment, I was tired and could not figure out what had happened until i got home and re-read the manual.
