What's on your wishlist?
Here is mine.
8.6K like Burano with all the intermediary frame rates (6K, 4K, 1080p) that use subsampling (unlike some of the Red's that require a sensor crop for lower resolution)
Full frame, S35, and S16 with different crop modes available at the touch of a button...
What are the highest capacity Gold mount batteries?
On the B&H search it tops out at 300w and one 367w option from Core SWX. I seem to recall seeing other higher powered Gold mount options but since I couldn't find them on B&H I was wondering if anyone could point me to them. SWIT has a 420w...
I'm using Sony FX30s to output 4K to a live switcher and need a good picture profile with high dynamic range. Coming from Canon C-series which have Wide DR picture profile, the FX30s PP11 I've been using is high contrast with lower dynamic range, so is not matching well with my C300s and Arris...
Does anyone know if the Canon R10, R8, R7 can do HDMI out, internal record, and LCD on at the same time? The manual seems to indicate you cannot, but I found a post on EOSHD where a user indicated they could do it all at once...
If I read that correctly, are you saying the 300w Orion is brighter (in general) than the 400w (plus 100w for the computer) Orbiter?
I ordered the Orion FS on B&H a few days ago. Appears to be on back order. I ordered the Fresnel attachment as well.
Got the Hive 575 replacement and still not...
More pics of my C300 Mark III setup. I'm quite happy with the modularity of the LCD screen with my setup as well as the quickly removable Anton Bauer mount I setup in addition to a P-tap velcroed battery that can go on top of the camera when I don't want the extra length that an Anton Bauer...
I recently bought a second C300 Mark III. Haven't gotten much accessories for it yet, waiting on B&H quote response. I always like to have three of each camera when possible, so with the C70 I'm now back to having three matching cameras. I've been liking them. I can now start to phase out the...
I've got a Sony FS7 and was trying to enable dual record to record to two XQD cards at once but it's grayed out in the menu and has a message saying it can't do it. Why is that and what do I have to do to enable it?
So a few years ago someone here (maybe Charles Papert) mentioned some sort of t-bone silk holder pole thing where the silk wraps around the pole for storage and then unwraps to give say a 6 x 6 or whatever in a sort of t-bone format where you just plop it on a light stand. Anyone know what I'm...
The C300 Mark III and C70 have 5x and 10x magnification. The C300 Mark II has 2x magnification.
I find the 2x magnification works well as the image looks sharp when in focus. The 5x and 10x magnification do not work well as the image is mush and not sharp, so when focusing it a difference...
So I just had these two lights arrive and my initial impressions...
To my eye, since I haven't put it into camera yet or put any light meters to it...Nanlight feels about 40% brighter. Colors look whiter in a good way, while CLAR has a bit of green to the light.
Downside of the Nanlight, the...
What is a good teleprompter to buy?
My budget is in the $2k-$5k range, with a preference for being closer to $2k. If spending much more than $2k I'd like to know what improvements I'm getting.
I've been recommended these two...
Do you keep or throw away the manual when you buy an item, such as say a camera?
Most manuals are available online, so a hard copy of many manuals for many types of equipment could just result in more clutter in the house. But maybe some like having a hard copy available.
Sometimes manuals...
What's a good camera mic for the C70 and C300 Mark III?
Apparently they now have mic power output on the 3.5mm input, so that opens up mic power powered mics that couldn't have been used with the C300 Mark II.
Using mic power is great because then you never have to worry about changing...
Does anyone know if COVID tests can be purchased by the general public and if so where and what ones to buy?
Clients keep asking for COVID tests and rather than having to keep driving to different locations and sometimes needing to schedule tests, being able to use an already bought pack of...
