Seems like the vimeo upload has messed a bit with the colors and given some of the shots an orangey hue.
Anyone know how to avoid this in the future?
As an example I have the Pro Res export on the left, the H.264 export in the middle and the vimeo video on the right.
Shot this entirely on the AF100 with a set of Zeiss Compact Primes for the University of Illinois at Chicago.
This was truly a 1 man band type deal as I was the only person who worked on the video (in a technical sense).

I've posted a rough cut of this here already, but never posted a public version because of festival submissions.
Thanks in advance to anyone who takes a look or shares it with others. I hope you enjoy it.
Shot in 3 days, two locations with a 3 man crew.

Hey Guys
Here's a short film I completed about a year ago with the AF100 and a set of Zeiss Compact Primes.
I wrote the short and shot it in 3 days with some really great actors here in Chicago. It's currently being submitted for festivals so I've password protected the video...
I've heard many complaints about the fringe caused by over exposing highlights and was just wondering if anyone has had a similar experience with a green tinted fringe. This happened to me yesterday and I'm chalking it up to the same over exposing problems everyone else was talking about...
Not an actual "test" test. Just a bit of fun.
The high contrast vs low contrast grades are obvious so I decided not to put titles in declaring which was which.
Used FCP 7 with Apple Color.
It's a bit longer than your average short on here at 17:03
Just posting it here on DVXUSER with a password because we're hoping to get it into some festivals....

(The title at the top of the vimeo page (FOREVER DREAMS) is not the actual title)...
The color correction I did was hasty and done in about 5 minutes. There is a mismatch in some of the grading and I think I stressed the codec a bit on some of the shots.
All in all, the camera performed excellently. A breeze to use. The more I use it, the more I like it.
Same goes for the set...
EDIT: This thread can be closed or erased, or left for learning purposes, but the problem was NONEXISTENT.
###########Problem was solved. The moire on this image was caused FCP Log & Transfer window. After transcoding and taking a Full Resolution Screenshot, the moire is...
Here are a few clips of ungraded footage from a short film I shot last week called THE BAD TIMES.
Shot in 3 days using the AF100 and Zeiss Compact Primes.
The only lights used (besides the practicals) were GE Tungsten Bulbs. 60 watt. 25 watt. and a flex fill for a shot or two.
I know I'll get...
When watching older films (pre-NLE) I have always wondered why the fade outs looked more organic than the ones I was able to achieve with AVID or FCP.
The answer, I suppose, is obvious. Whether they were using an optical printer, or actually doing this in camera, they were preventing light from...
My biggest problem with this camera is how hard it is to get blacks black.
So far I've gotten fairly mushy results, but that's due to my lighting most likely.
I understand preserving details in the shadows, YET, I don't get this predisposition against pure black in the frame.
For example:
Shooting a short in May.
Just trying to get accustomed to the camera. Forgive the cliche of going out into the yard and rack focusing on things.
Please, forgive it.

My fourth day with the camera, so forgive me if this is a silly question.
I've found a few scene file settings that, when under proper even well lit areas look fantastic. Very happy with the image quality.
I notice though, if I dim the lights, or put on one of the ND filters without chancing...
