College promotional video

Seems like the vimeo upload has messed a bit with the colors and given some of the shots an orangey hue.

Anyone know how to avoid this in the future?

As an example I have the Pro Res export on the left, the H.264 export in the middle and the vimeo video on the right.

Great video. I work for a university and do lots of promo videos for them as well. Really enjoyed yours.

It's really crazy to see what vimeo did to the color...almost as if Vimeo upped the saturation. I just checked one of the videos I recently did and it looks like vimeo adjusted the saturation slightly and darkened the image every so slightly, but nothing near as drastic as the side-by-sides you posted.

I thought it looked fantastic. I do the same type of videos at a school district and in the past at a community college.
This was a nice promotional piece. The first interview comes in a little abruptly sound wise with the music dropping out quickly, and the volume of his dialogue could come up but bang up job. I am not a fan of this type of music in videos, but that's just opinion.
That AF100 shines in this video. Plus, it looks like you were able to do a quite a bit of lighting which is something I rarely get to set up. I usually only get to put the camera in place and shoot.
Do I see some Neat Video or other noise reduction going on there, or those women had a makeup person?

Thanks!

I did a bit of lighting. Mostly for the interview parts. I bounced a 650w against the ceiling for some of the B-Roll, but most of it was just augmented with reflectors and flags.

No Neat Video or noise reduction software. Just tried to keep the ISO at around 200-800.

No makeup people either. But I'm sure they did their own makeup!

Really fantastic work man! This is why ill be keeping my AF100 alongside the BMCC, you can't beat just setting up, checking sound, adjust a simple light and shoot gorgeous head shots for this kind of work.

Brilliant!
