Been trying to export a sequence recently which uses the cc sphere effect twice as well as some other expressions. Basically if you've done the "earth" tutorial on www.videocopilot.net, you'll know what I'm talking about. When I turn the other layers off besides just the earth, it runs smooth...

Alright guys, this is by far one of the stupidest things I've done to date, but I'm in a jam and need some help. For some reason (wasn't paying attention) I set my preview to the main display, so every time I open up AE I get black, no screen. Anyone have any ideas, hot keys or whatever to get...

Hey guys, I started up my cinematography classes recently and I've been having trouble keeping that image in the viewfinder; you move your eye barely a mm and you've lost the image. Is it always this way starting out, and will it just get more natural over time? Also, my left eye is a little...

Hey again guys, Finally sold my camera package, so now I'm finally looking to sell off my G5 tower to a good home, so I can upgrade to FCP Studio 2. This computer is roughly a little over 3 years old, but still runs like a champ. Has seen 2 owners in it's lifetime, myself and a monk out...

Hey guys, I’ve had this package for only a few months, but I’m making a transition to editing so I need to update my workstation. Before I owned this package, it was cared for by a well known member here at DVXUser.com for about a little less than a year. In total, this package is just over a...

Hey guys, I'm really in a jam right now and any help would be much appreciated. I'm working on a music video currently shot in 1080p 24p, and with the many options of import in FCP 6, I don't know which to choose. I'm using an HD Cam deck to import the footage and would prefer to capture it in...

Hey guys, I got an HVX loaned out to me from my school and I'm trying to import some footage but have ran into some problems. The footage shot is 720p / 60p and the timeline and import settings are set for that. I'm importing right from the dump drive, and I can see the clip when I open...

Hey, guys, I've been trying to film an idea for a spec Dominos commercial for the past two months, and quite recently I've ran into a brick wall. While I've managed to secure professional actors, a great location, the owners of my great location keep telling me that I'm going to need some form...

I've been looking around the past couple of days for a house to use for a spec commerical, and the other day I finally found one. Before I take this leap of faith though, what is the best way to approach a family so they will consider letting you film at their house. The script I have is only...

Hey guys, I purchased my DVX about a month ago from a fellow Dvxuser member, and included in this package I got this lens. I have no real use for it, so I'm letting it go. The person who sold it to me didn't know much about lenses and it didn't come with any instructions but from what I can...

Quite recently, my account was frozen for some reason and while I've emailed numerous people around the forums I have gotten no response or help. About a week ago, I tried posting a PDF with a different account, and for some reason it wouldn't allow me to post it, though i have seen other users...
