Digital Artifacting in AE...Graphics card?

Been trying to export a sequence recently which uses the cc sphere effect twice as well as some other expressions. Basically if you've done the "earth" tutorial on www.videocopilot.net, you'll know what I'm talking about. When I turn the other layers off besides just the earth, it runs smooth, but with the other layers on it glitches in and out. I'm thinking it might be my graphics card but I'm unsure. I'm using a new 2.66 quad core mac pro w/ a nvida 7300GT 256 mb graphics card and 2 gigs of ram.

Here's some stills basically showing what's happening.

If anyone has any idea what's happening, please just give me some advice. I can't figure out a logical explanation for it.

Thanks guys

That's a strange one, but does look like a graphics card issue. I sometimes have problems with AE during ram previews where there is what looks like large square shapes the video is flowing over. But the video is always there, if mildly distorted.

But it never happens with renders. You may want to change the settings on your Fast Preview, and see if that helps. I leave mine on Adaptive Resolution, and I also have an Nvidia card.

Are your renders coming out clean?
